"I'll forgive you." Leon said with a grin, being sarcastic. Of course he knew that Elliot could hardly be blamed for that. "Why are you here though? Did my father ask you back?"

He laughed a little at a sudden thought that entered his head. "Does he think I still need a whipping boy?"

He either didn't consider or didn't care that such a remark was a little insensitive. The main point of a whipping boy, apart from it being unseemly for a man of lower status to strike a prince, was to make the prince feel bad about misbehaving through seeing his companion punished. Leon had never seemed to have the empathy for that to work though.

"Well your father did summon me back to the royal castle for a special task, but I have not been asked to resume my role as whipping boy." Elliot looked away so Leon could not see his frown. He always disliked how Leon spoke so casual about his many many whippings, despite being to blame for them.

"At any rate I have been asked to accompany you for the time being. It should be a good time for us to catch up." Elliot was allowed to speak somewhat more freely to Leon and as the king suggested he did not immediately tell his new role to the prince.

Leon looked curious for a moment, but he had never been too interested in others so it passed by quickly. Almost forgotten by the time Elliot had said the next sentence.

"Ah, great!" Leon grinned. He stood up and put an arm around Elliot's shoulders, starting to walk with him. His confidence being indicative of his status. No one would dare refuse him so he had no need to be shy. "So tell me, what have you been doing since you were let go?"
He didn't really care too much of course, and as they walked, his eyes were already looking around for other entertainment.

Unlike with the king Elliot actually did't flinch or show signs of discomfort when Leon touched him. Mostly because he wasn't too shy around Leon thanks to the amount of time they had spent together.

"Um i've been trying to resume taking over my duties for my household, but I have run into some...difficulties to say the least." Few people had respect for a whipping boy or even a former whipping boy in Elliot's case. Leon might have even heard of his nickname. Redbutt, instead of his family name of Redwood. That made it hard to Elliot to get much respect in the room. It did't help he was the youngest in his family so he would't inherit their lands.

Leon was of course familiar with Elliot's nickname, he rather enjoyed it in a cruel sort of way. He was well aware of just how many spankings his whipping boy had had to endure. "I see," Leon replied, in a distracted sort of way.

"Um, sire, may I leave now?" It was the mousey servant girl. She was quite new, and was still nervous when dealing directly with the royal family. She knew she was never to leave until she was dismissed.
"Ah!" Leon had forgotten about her. He unwrapped his arm from Elliot's shoulder and moved towards her. Despite not being tall, he was a good six or so inches taller than the girl. He smirked at her, the cruelty the king had mentioned creeping out. He had always treated the servants badly, even as a child. He had kicked their shins when they presented him with a meal he hadn't liked or pulled their hair when they tried to put him to bed when he didn't want to sleep yet. "May you go... I wonder..."
The servant girl looked visibly frightened, biting her bottom lip nervously.

"Ahem well she has brought me here so I believe she has no reason to stay here anymore. Isn't that right sir?" Elliot asked, but he had seen that look countless of times before. He imagined he could start disciplining the prince soon.

"Couldn't father have gotten a prettier girl to bring you to me though?" Leon asked theatrically. "I can't stand looking at plain women. As a prince, I should only be surrounded by the best looking servants."
The girl's eyes betrayed that she was hurt by the comments, and they were untrue. She was small and slim, but she was by no means plain. She was actually quite pretty, not that the insult would have been any more pleasant had it been true.

"Leon do you mind if I obje....No what I mean to say is. Apologise to that girl Leon. She looks hurt by that comment you made and she is by no means a bad looking woman." Leon might actually be a bit shocked to see Elliot talk back to him. Both his function and his shy personality had usually made him a bit of a doormat that easily went along with the prince.

Leon raised an eyebrow at Elliot daring to say something like that to him. Even that was a rarity for the prince. He chuckled slightly, brushing it off as a rare burst of confidence from his former whipping boy. Perhaps he had become a bit braver after being away for five years.
"Apologise? Do you seriously expect me to apologise?" He shook his head.

"Yes I do Leon. If not for the girl's sake then perhaps for your own. Nothing good comes from bullying others. This is your last chance sir." Usually plenty of good came from Leon's bullying. Not only could he have fun with it, but Elliot had been the one receiving punishment for it.
