Axl rolled his eyes as well when Dean responded to him. "I know. You never want to do anything with me." He said with a sigh, and got a little more than a little bit upset when Dean snapped at him for wanting a puppy. He'd been wanting a puppy since he was little. He had a hurt expression when Dean told him to forget it. He took off his coat. "Fine. Have fun by yourself, you giant douchewagon." He huffed, slamming the door after Dean headed out.

Sammy looked up when he heard the door slam, the man frowning as Dean came in and leaned down to get his shoes on, saying they should send Axl off to boot camp. Sammy got up and grabbed Dean by the hem of his jeans, pulling them up some and he landed a fierce smack across his ass. "What did you guys do?" He demanded to know, not letting him go or straighten up.

Dean hissed and yelped when Sam smacked his ass, "Sam!" he snapped and growled when he asked what they'd done. "Well I offered to get him something from the store and he asked for a puppy, he KNOWS they aren't at the store, but it wasn't that, it was the tone he used and the fact he said he'd rather see me get my ass tanned!" he snapped, "So I told him to just forget it and that I didn't want to take him. And I don't! I hate spending time with him cause all he does is give me damn attitude and make me feel like shit!"

Sammy kept his hold on Dean, wondering if he needed a serious trip over his knee, or just a reminder on how to behave. He listened to how he explained the situation. "He's a kid, Dean. He's always wanted a puppy. He was being a smart ass and you obviously hurt his feelings somewhere in there." He said. "Tell me exactly what you said to him, or I'll ask him myself." He warned, before furrowing his eyebrows at his husband.

Sam's bear paw hand came up and then down five times on each of Dean's cheek. "He is your SON. You don't get to abandon him because you don't like how he acts. You're not DAD, Dean. Don't you dare try to give up on him. Cause if you do, you leave me too." Sam said, voice loud and dead serious. "You need to TALK to him. Not complain to me, Dean Michael Winchester. He loves you, but you don't spend enough time with him. You both need to change that."

Dean jumped and hissed when Sam slapped his ass cheeks hard with that shovel hand of his. "Damn it Sam!!!" he snapped and squirmed before then looking at him and sighing when he said he didn't get to abandon him and he wasn't Dad. "I know that!" he snapped and crossed his arms. "I do love the kid but we just can't see eye to eye no matter how hard I try, we're NOTHING alike..." he told his husband and then sighed when Sam said he needed to talk to him and he didn't spend enough time with him.

"Fine, but he's not gonna talk to me." he grumbled and headed back upstairs, "Axl...bud, we need to talk."

"Watch it." Sam said, pinching Dean's ass when he cursed at him. The younger man went on to lecture him about not being like dad. "I'm glad you know. Now act on it." Sam said firmly, and he shook his head. "You two are so alike that it's scary. You have no idea, Dean." Sammy said seriously. Then he let him up. "Then make him talk, Dean. Or I'll seriously whoop you." Sam growled, sending the man off.

Axl looked up when Dean came into his room, the kid, crossing his arms and glaring. "Are we actually gonna talk, or are you gonna yell and curse at me again?"

Dean groaned at the threat of a whoopin' and headed upstairs to his son's room, sighing and taking a deep calming breath before then walking in and telling his only child they needed to talk. "We're actually gonna talk." he told him and sat down beside him, "Look pal, I didn't mean what I said before, I did wanna take you....just, recently we've been fighting a lot and I hate fightin' with ya..." he told him and looked at him.

"I get that ya want a puppy but...babe they don't have those at the store...and I didn't like the attitude you gave me."

Axl warily watched his dad as he came over and took a seat beside him, saying that they were actually going to talk. He listened to what he said and sighed a bit, frowning hard when his dad told them that they didn't have puppies at the store and he didn't like the attitude.

"We coulda went to a different store." He said, and shook his head. "And I didn't like how you flipped me out of bed this morning. And I didn't like that Mama is making you spend time with me. And I didn't like it when you said that you hate spending time with me..." The kid trailed off, bringing his knees up to his chest, obviously he had been listening in to the conversation that his dad and his mom had.

Dean felt like an ass when his son had managed to hear the bit about him hating spending time with him. "Look buddy...I'm sorry I said that, I just meant that I hated what happened when we spent time together, we always fight." he told him and pulled him into his arms, hugging him, "I love ya kiddo, and I'm sorry I flipped ya this morning, it's something my Dad did when I slept in and it's just sorta...habit." he told him and rubbed his back.

"Babe you know you could have a puppy, it's Mama that don't like you having one, they make messes....he likes a clean house."

Axl sniffled a bit and looked up at his dad as he apologized for saying what he did, saying that he meant that he hated fighting with him. Axl didn't entirely believe that, but he was going to let it pass for now. Then he was pulled into Dean's arms and he rested his head on Dean's chest limply. "It's okay..." He sighed after a few moments.

"I know Mama doesn't want me to have one." He said sadly. "But I'd watch it and take care of it and everything..." He said, sounding a lot younger than he was.

Dean really did feel bad for what he'd said to his baby boy and he hadn't meant it the way it came out. He smiled when his son rested his head against him and told him it was okay. "I hope so, you know I really hate when we fight and I really am sorry bud." he told him and kissed his head before then having a thought, "Well, maybe I can convince Mama to let you get a puppy, how's that sound?"
