The child saw wide eyed as her father came in sight, backing up slowly, this was it, he was going to kill her.
She didn't beg, instead held her cutter protectively in front of her.
However the rest passed fast, jut as her father closed to her an enormous shape attacked, her father screamed in fright... it was a bear, just like the one of her dream, her father was begging to the bear, something about the past being the pat, an then calling her name in request for help, she didn't move, instead she frowned at him, barely even flinching when the bear tore his head off.
She looked at her father's corpse and then at the bear, not that sure that the bear wouldn't attack her too, but not afraid of the bear either... he was not a bear, that she could see, not a normal bear at least.

The bear ate the mans flesh and crunch up his bones until only blood and tattered cloth remained, then it cleaned itself.
the bear glanced at her then indicated with its head that she should come with it.

Kennith waited for the bear to stop eating her father, not showing any regret nor sorrow over that, then, once the permission was given, she followed it from a distance.

the bear headed through the forest for quite a distance before coming to a low concrete building with a smoking chimmey, the bear stood up and clad himself in the form of a broad shouldered and stout man with salt and pepper hair, finishing off with a pair of dark cotton pants, a green shirt with 'Westhaven Wildlife Park' on the back and browwn leather knee boots.

Kennith looked at her, omehow not really surprised by that, an waited for his instructions.
"Thank you" he whispered after a while, referring at how he had saved her.

(So she sees him as a bear only when he's a bear or when he's in human form too?)
Kennith frowned a bit in confusion but guessed there was no much choice on the matter, he had saved her and there was no one else, nothing else to go, so she went in and looked around while trying to warm herself up by rubbing her arms, she had gotten quite a fright since her father was more than capable of beating her to death, while she wasn't jumping in joy of seeing him killed she was rather content of not having to fear a beating at any moment.

(She sees the bear inside the man for brief instants but not all the time)
He led her inside his home, once through the entrance there was a living area with a roaring fire and a circle of comfy armchairs, a table with playing cards scattered over it and a huge sword over the fireplace.

The child took note of the sword and went near the fire a she tried to warm herself and waited for the bear man to come, he looked up at him, catching the bear inside him before the image became human again, just like with the others.
"Why no one else can see you?" She asked then.

"Because most people are human." He said taking two pebbles from his pocket, one was grey and featureless and the other had beautiful red and gold lines running through "Humans are the grey rock, their world is flat, grey and boring. Humans cannot imagine that the Outside, the real world could exist so they cannot see into it."
