This is a collaboration between me and Jac the Coyote in an effort to expand his Canis Empire world.

I would also like to thank my writing assistant Tailsy125 for helping me put this together and bring it to life.
Along with the massive Canis Empire there is the Empire of Alvius which is home to a variety of winged anthros. This includes dragons, gryphons, bird kins, and some winged arthropods.
Appearance, tech, and Economy
They are a largely medieval society but are highly advanced in the arts of magic. They use it in their everyday lives for almost anything that can be imagined. Many of their buildings are made from crystal, stone, and other materials that are not common among other species.
Due to a heavy emphasis on crafting large quantities of fine objects and a large amount of mineral wealth the Empire of Alvius is extremely rich. With trade networks that span much of the known world.
There is slavery but there are some laws in place to protect slaves. Due to this the Empire of Alvius sees itself at a higher level of morality to its neighbors and instead refers to it as indentured servitude. Although the only slave law that is actually enforced is that you can’t kill a slave without a legal reason. Other than that just about anything goes.
However the Canis Empire still outmatches them in land, military, and population. Along with an economy that could rival theirs.
Government and Religion
The Empire is ruled by an immortal emperor known as Luten Crass Vicaris who appeared one day during a crises of disunity and united the various ethnicities and species of the Empire.
Since then a cult has emerged and has been spread by Luten himself that he is a creation of the human gods themselves. Many currently hold the idea that he is an avatar of the gods sent to the world to unite it under some holy pretense. It’s unknown how much of this is true but individuals who follow his faith do seem to possess unnatural abilities such as foresight and increased strength.
Below Luten is a collection of powerful well connected families and political factions that vie for the favor of the emperor so they may assert their own agendas. These groups are primarily made up of dragons and gryphons.
Relationships between different groups
Dragons: They are incredibly strong but not very numerous. They have a heavy emphasis on honor and ritual combat with noble houses often being led by the strongest and wisest. This often gives them a sense of elitism over other races.
Gryphons: About the same numeracy as the dragons but with varying cultures. Often wit and a silver tongue are praised more than anything in gryphon society. A heavy emphasis is placed on commerce with the acquisition of wealth being a major priority. Within their society the rich are the ones who rule and as with the dragons this has led to a sense of elitism.
Bird kins: The different kins of birds are the largest and most diverse groups within the kingdom. The different kins match their real world counterparts in one way or another. With ostriches being large and strong but simple minded, while eagles are smart well rounded but aggressive.
Arthropods: They are very rare to find in the Empire. They are often incredibly powerful in ability and serve in the courts of high ranking nobles. Outside of this not much more is known about them.
Species Outside the empire
Horses: As with all slave races under the Canis empire the land of Alvius has become a safe haven for runaway slaves. Although this is not out of the goodness of their hearts but a long term plan to damage the Canis economy. Most slaves that escape find themselves back in some form of indentured servitude. (Pretty much the same as slavery.)
Simians: Monkeys, Apes, Chimps, and so on. Seen as Barbarians also, but with a possibility of future use. The cult of Luten has no say on them really.
Bovine: Same as the horses. Most in Alvius can’t really tell the difference.
Dogs: Due to their rivalry many dogs who enter the kingdom of Alvius find themselves mistreated and bullied. This goes for all species of dog.
Cats: Rather than helping them escape the Empire of Alvius agrees with Canis on the issue of cats as they are seen as a common enemy. Instead the cat slave trade is one of the more lucrative businesses between the two kingdoms.
Mice: Potential weak point if there was a war between Alvius and Canis.
Rabbits: Free. Currently a neutral standing. They make good trade partners.
Bear: Often hired as mercenaries. Dogs still don’t know we’re paying them to raid them in the north.
Bats: Rival Kingdom as well. They’re vampires what more do I have to say.
Lizards/Crocodiles/Snakes: Allied kingdom thanks to the dragons and ancestral relations.
