[World] Archipelagos: Magic
When the Unknowable Powers mixed, they did not dissipate, not even after the Creation of Zenithar and Boethia. They remained and became part of the rest of the cosmos. They would go almost forgotten about until Mara began to study them, and through combining the remnanents of the Powers with a part of the world and intent. She created magic.
Mara developer ten types of magic, which she would later teach to the first mortal magicians.
Shadow magic.
Water magic.
Earth magic.
Light magic.
Fire magic.
Air magic.
Lightning magic.
Blood magic.
Wood magic.
Rune magic.
Anyone from any mortal species has the potential to use magic, they just have to learn it, though many lack the time, desire or resources to do so. Most magicians train two or three apprentices in their lives, but there are also Universities. Universities are schools that teach not only the types of magic, but also mundane feilds, and are open to all.
