We'll start with the Wright/Maya interrogation room ^_^

Wright stood in the law offices of his mentor and boss Mia Fey. A bloody mess lay in her office as detectives and homicide had been there that night as he sat on the couch in the lobby. Shock had consumed him as he watched his boss be taken away in a body bag. He took whatever evidence he had and walked out of the office, he was following the lead to Mia's sister Maya who was in holding for murdering her sister.

Soon, Phoenix had tracked the girl's cell down, and had been escorted inside her holding.

Gray eyes looked up from behind glass, as Maya Fey gazed at the defense attorney. She jolted from her trance, but soon faded away again. Her eyes were tired, just as her body, as shock consumed her.

"Oh!" the girl gasped all of a sudden, clutching her kimono hems tight. "I-it's you... th-the lawyer...!" She pressed her hands against the glass, just wanting to touch and feel something there besides herself. It sure was lonely inside a glass box!

She seemed completely lost, and she swallowed, willing herself to be brave, "G-good morning!" she squeaked. It wasn't a good morning. There had never been a worse one for her... her eyes began to water, feeling no warmth from the glass.

Soon she sat back down, folding her hands in her lap, and she bowed her head, sniffling a bit.

Phoenix could see the pain in her eyes, the lost feeling from being in a jail cell accused of murder. He had experienced it once before. Though he only knew it for half a day several years ago.

"Yes, Phoenix Wright. I worked for your sister." He told her as he put his hands to the glass and looked at her from across room. "Have you gotten a lawyer yet? Your trail is starting tomorrow..." He asked her with a trail off and sighed softly.

"Who would defend me?" she said, not looking up from under her long, dark hair, "E-even you... when you found me in the office... you looked at me like I had done it!" before the man could even reply she shook her head, looking up with those big, puppy dog eyes, "I-It's okay. I understand..."

She played with her kimono ends, and then piped up, smiling a big, "I've heard about you from sis. Only the other day." she blinked those sparkling eyes, deep in thought. It was like she hadn't come to grips with losing her sister... She then clapped her hands on her thighs and beamed, "She said I should wait three more years before asking Mr. Nick for help! 'Cause I'll get found GUILTY!" she grinned brightly at the older man, before she gasped, raising her hands over her mouth, "Ah!! I-I'm sorry-!"

Wright looked at her a ball of strange energy. Had he been Dr. Nick he would have said this girl was bipolar or just plain crazy. "Well I had to make the natural assumption... at first... but I don't believe you would kill your sister." He told her and nodded as he looked into her eyes through the glass. "I want to be your attorney Maya, I owe it to your sister to defend you no matter what it takes."

"I...is it okay...?" she said softly, studying Phoenix's gaze with the innocence of a sheltered spirit medium in training. She looked at her knees, not certain how to react. She was all alone in the world, now. Everybody had branded her a killer. Nobody had come to save her, or to see that she was okay... not even her Auntie Morgan. Or little Pearly. Not that she'd want Pearly to see her like this...!

It was weird, but... without sis, she was... detached. Alone.

Mia... I want sis...

She looked up, tears brimming her eyes, "I didn't do it..." it was like she was talking about who stole the last cookie from the jar, but she was honest. She was speaking the truth. And those eyes looked to the young defense attorney with a slight glimmer of hope, before she blushed at his offer and looked down quickly.

Phoenix looked at her and nodded as he put his hand back on the glass between them. "Your sister's first rule, when you take on a client believe they are innocent no matter what, and know that they are. I have a feeling you were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Now, you have to accept me and tell the guards I'll be your attorney if that's what you want."

The Fey daughter wrestled her inner demons, thinking fretfully to herself for a time. She made small-talk about her life as a spirit medium in training, about the day of the murder... even popped open her little pink cell-phone to play back a message from her sis where she had promised to hold on to something for her... Just hearing Mia's voice, so fresh in her heart and mind, was enough to turn her to tears again. A hard lump formed in her throat and refused to budge.

She was quiet for a time, looking away and to the side. It was... it was gonna be hard to ask, but...

The girl looked up through her dark fringe, "Um... I was wondering... could I ask you a favor?" she blushed, her cheeks heating up as she took out a slip of paper from within the folds of her kimono. The paper was still warm where she had clutched it so close. She looked at it, and then over it at the hopeful attorney, and then pushed it under the glass, "Th-this is the address of a famous lawyer," she looked down, not meeting Nick's eyes, "Sis gave me it a long time ago... she said that... if I ever was in trouble, I should call him."

She clutched her kimono hem, holding it tight like a lifeline, as her voice wavered, "And... and...well... I'm in trouble."

Maya then looked up again, making those sweet, puppy-dog eyes at the man, "Do you think you could get him to represent me...?"

Phoenix looked at her and shook his head as he took the paper. "I don't think he'll accept the case.... I've seen people seem to avoid the idea. After all Mia was a passionate attorney and despite that no one would want to defend her sister. You would have had someone come here if they wanted to defend you." He told her as he left the room. He emerged into her side a few minutes later, the guard had left and it seemed that the camera had been removed long before. "Maya... I'm going to show you what kind of attorney it takes to defend you for justice." He told her as he walked over and started to move her over his lap.

"But-But he--!!" The girl grimaced fearfully as Nick left, and she stood up, touching the glass and arching up her bottom as she tried to peer past the small window of the door. She blinked as he entered her side, tilting her head, only to step off her chair and then scamper to him.

"H-huh?" Maya flushed, not exactly sure what to expect. She was young, but not so young that she shouldn't know of the new laws that had been set into place over recent decades. Of the three day trial systems, of the penalties and heightened measures that the investigative attorney and prosecution sector had been granted in these hard times. However, she had been sheltered far more than her big sis. She didn't know what to expect - only knew that a man was treating her gently.

She gulped, and blushed pink. Was this like in the Steel Samurai? When he saved a maiden from the clutches on an evil foe?! Mr. Wright didn't look like the warrior type, but... maybe he was in disguise! She blinked at him curiously, her fears forgotten for a moment as the scene progressed.
