The elevator lets them out into a spacious hallway, brightly lit and clean as a hospital. For that matter, there is something definitely clinical about the facilities down here, yet with an air of government intervention. One could almost imagine that this could be where the famed alien autopsy video was taken, as they could surely be operating in the very next room. Megan comes out behind the rest, pausing briefly to glance over the panel where the older man had put his hand. Although she can’t see the inner workings, she already has a pretty good idea of how it operates. Once in the hall, she asks the question that everyone else is likely thinking in their heads.
“Mr. Kensington, where are we?”
Trevor starts to walk down the corridor, idly motioning to a few of the rooms as they pass by.
“I’m sure that all of you have suspected it, but no one’s stepped up to ask. Each of you children have a gift that surpasses what would be considered normal, at least for a human. Although we are open to any children, as far as the majority of the youth center’s facilities, these down here are specifically for those with talents like yourselves. If you request it, we have advanced laboratories to study your individual gifts, allowing us to help you to control them. We also have equipment which can be used to nullify some abilities, or isolate them. Our medical units are top of the line, enabling us to stabilize a talent that has run out of control, or caused a serious medical condition in the child that holds it.”

Aimee blinked, "Laboratories? So, like, medical experiments for the lot of us? Man... I'm so done with medical tests. They've figured out the what, they just aren't real sure on the how or the why. They're also pretty sure that they can't undo it, not without causing, what'd they say? 'Significant neurological harm' or something like that. Sounded terrible."

Kei frowned a bit at the sight of so much white gathered, the hospital-like place was not really something she expected or wanted to see, having a high dislike for anything hospital related the kid hopes they leave soon, however the man's explanation both dampens her mood and puts everyone's theory of the others being "special" in another kind of way to a confirmation.
Silently she takes a step backwards in a casual way, what she can also see in the man's speech is that they will also know how to stop them if they please if they agree to go through whatever the ones here would have in store for them to help them "control" their powers.
As Aimee protests the kid looks at her, feeling less at ease and also feeling a bit bad for the girl but not having idea as to what power does she hold.

Trevor guides the group into one of the smaller examination rooms, letting them see the level of equipment that the center has at their disposal for such things. He turns around to face Aimee as he starts to answer her remark.
“Well, that leaves two out of three questions still unanswered, doesn’t it? We could work on those, if you’re open to the idea. I guarantee that we’ll have better technicians at our disposal than you’d likely suspect.”
Megan has moved past Trevor and into the room, her eyes wandering over the medical technologies that have gone into designing these instruments. She’s in awe of it, as well as what it’s capable of. She briefly glances back to Aimee, thinking that she can relate to the girl on some degree. If her current situation were suddenly reversed, there would also be irreversible neurological damage. That, however, is only because the damage was already there. Before her treatments, she couldn’t even walk on her own.

Akane watches Aimee. Fascinating. It's like she can see something the others cannot, just like Akane herself and she has already an idea what this could be. How does she know about the data lines? Maybe she can sense electricity, magnetism like these Chain-guy. Then she can see power-cables like Akane can see water lines.
Kei seems also to sense something the way she scans the wall. Hm. Things getting more interesting. Trevor confirms her assumption. So it's true, all girls have superhuman powers... hey wait a minute. How does he know, that she, Akane, has superhuman powers? In Japan there are a few people, relatives, good friends, who know this, but here in the US, there should no one know of this. Akane's eyes narrow.
But she is distracted by Aimee. "Undo it?" She echoes curiously. The Supergene usually cannot be 'undone' as far as she knows though she never really gathered information about this - that would be the last thing she would want to do. "Do you want to undo it?" She wonders if she in Aimee place would play the guinea pig for Trevor and his helpers. Most likely not.
She turns at at Mr. Kensington. "Most interesting, Kensington-san. Since we are already speanking about the how and why. It seems that you had unlimited financial ressources to build this impressive facility and try to gather children with superhuman abilities. Remains the question, how did you know that we all have such abilities and why do you gather children with such abilities?"

Aimee looked at Akane, or, rather, turned in the girl's direction. The braided one never seemed to actually look *at* anyone, it was more like she was looking through them at something.
"Sometimes, yeah, I would. I can't turn it off, and that is really annoying. Plus, it makes me hungry, like... all the time? Which is going to make me fat, and that's terrible. I'm Goth, not a fucking panda bear, know what I'm saying? Also... well... no, I'll explain that later. It's too long to go into now but, yeah, it's... completely annoying." Even though it was apparent that she was talking to Akane, there was something... off... about her tone of voice. It sounded more like she was answering on reflex, not really listening to herself, sounding vague and distracted. It also may have been an affectation of her sub-culture, as Goths are known to do, sounding perpetually bored and monotone.
She shifts her attention back to Trevor, "Oh, they have... theories? Just no... conclusive cases. Something about... nanite factories and hexite chains. It rewired my brain or... maybe just my nervous system? Both? I dunno... it's all, like, high tech. Stuff that isn't normally in the body? Brain-wave channels not normally open cranked up to eleven or something? It's ok, though. I don't turn red and huge or have a mutant healing factor or anything. Shoot, I don't even turn green."

Kei remains outside the door as the others go in; she listens attentively but has not really intentions of going inside the room. Akane is the first to speak once the man gives making Kei look at her from her spot, feeling some cold feeling at the sight of the equipment but ignoring it for now.
The girl wonders about how they know about them and Kei stares at the place again, well if they had enough money to build this from scratch then they must have other kind of technologies, maybe even other beings affected with the gene as to track them easily.
But the why would they bother with all this at all has Kei a bit on her toes, from her position it seems more like a chance for them to know and control all those with superpowers, having the upper hand if something came up, but the kid knows that she’s had no profs or anything as to be able to judge it like that just because so she remains calm and listens. Also, another question would be, who the hell are THEM?
Taking a casual step back the gray headed kid looks around, no logo, no symbol, nothing to see where things come from, she takes another step back, still listening to what happens inside the room.
It’s Aimee’s turn to speak and Kei feels kind of bad for her, it sounds quite annoying at best to have those problems, the kid feels grateful of both having no memories to regret from before her mentor nor having a power like that, she silently wonders if the other girl is able to sleep well or if that's the why of her nearly mechanical answer. The icy eyed kid had faced some insomnia when she was younger, and also when they captured her mentor, she knows how it can disturb some people, if Aimee’s power prevents her from sleeping and makes her hungry all the time… well; Kei hopes that here they can help her then, put a “Snooze” button to her powers in a way or another, even if she doesn't really knows her, that's something she would rarely wish someone.
She, on the other side, wouldn’t submit to anything they have to offer here, she has not really have problems… ok, not TOO many problems with her powers and also she feels less at ease inside this hospital like place than she felt the first time in that stupid Security School. She remains quiet though, listens as she steps back more and more, trying to see something she has not seen before and feeling the electricity through the wall, there were many, many things under here.

"A panda bear?" Akane is somewhat startled by the way Aimee speaks llike if she wasn't there. "I understand..." She answers reluctantly. "You didn't make your peace with your abilities. Nanites, these are tiny machines right? So your ability is not a natural gift, a gift of the Kami, but something that is generated by technique. This must make it much more different. But even though your gift is not of the Kami it can fulfill a purpose. Maybe you just have to find it." Akane nods seriously. She doesn't understand much of high tech but she knows how difficult it is to deal with being different.

Aimee nods, a wave of her hand indicating her black clothing and pale face, made moreso by the white makeup and heavy, kohl eyeliner. "Yeah, see? Panda bear. Black body, white face. Except I'm skinny. Not fat, like a panda bear. And, yeah, nanites. Tiny computer-machines. They rewired me, pretty hardcore. They tell me I'm like a walking computer, with radio transceivers all over me. They're not quite sure how they work, but they definitely do. The world won't shut up. But at least I have Spotify wherever and whenever I want it. Youtube, too. And Facebook. Most of the internet is like 4Chan, though, and that's terrible. And it's in my face. All. The. Time."

Trevor listens to the girls bantering back and forth for a moment, glad that they're finally coming out of their shells to each other about what they're capable of. Rather than interrupt, he waits until there's a natural pause in the conversation to answer Akane's question.
“I'm afraid that you have the wrong idea about the center, Akane. We don't gather children. As I saw it, all four of you came here under your own power. We merely made the center available to all of you, and saw to it that those with special abilities learned of the center's existence. Our financial backing is far from limitless, though. We have some wealthy donors, but most of our resources come from government grants.”
Megan's interest has perked up considerably as she's listened to Aimee, her natural curiosity kicking in at the mention of nanite technology. The girl's own description of being like a walking computer just makes her that much more interesting to the inventive genius.
“Wait. So, you're really like a thinking computer? That's amazing!”
Without thinking about it, she reaches into the backpack on her shoulder and pulls out a small pad. It looks no different from a common tablet computer, but she points it towards Aimee and starts to tap away at the touchscreen, activating some kind of sensor array. The processing power of this one little tablet probably dwarfs anything that the center has to offer, making it one of the most advanced pieces of technology in the building, and probably almost as powerful of a computer as Aimee.
