Young Master and His Butler (For SpankyNinja)

It had been a few months since the Young Master’s parents had disappeared. They had decided to take a trip away from the country for a while. Of course, all fun things must come to an end though. They never returned and no one had heard from them since. None of the people who worked in the house had heard from them, nor were they going to. For now, their child would be in charge. This made things a little unbearable. Many of the workers either quit or were fired.

There was, however, a very hard worker who decided to stay. He knew things could become better; he could help the Young Master with all the things he needed to know. All he needed was a little love, right? He felt much like a big brother, or so he wanted to feel. Since the parents were gone, he wanted to be able to raise the boy. That hadn’t been working too well though. He wasn’t sure what to do, but we determined to eventually stand up to the boy, even if the other threatened to fire him.

It was a bright, sunny morning. The rather young butler walked into the Young Master’s room. It seemed he was still asleep. Adjusting his glasses, he opened the blinds letting in the bright light. A smile rose to his lips as he turned to the younger’s bed. “Rise and shine, Young Master.” Alexander spoke in a sing-song tone. The male walked up to the bed, lightly shaking the boy. “It’s time to get up.”

Chris groaned and turned on his side "Leave me be Alexander" the 9 year old groan his shoulder length black hair falling to cover the side of his face and eyes.

The dark haired butler blinked a moment, looking at the young boy in a bit of disbelief. However, that look quickly faded when it was replaced by a smile. "Come now, Chris. You have quite a busy day today." He told the child, giving him another gentle shake. "It's time to get up." He stated, pulling the covers off the young boy.

[Chris]

Chris grumbled and curled up into a ball "Can't I just lay in bed?" Chris said rubbing his eyes a little.

Alexander frowned a bit. "But Young Master, there is no time to just stay in bed." He began, running a hand through the boy's soft locks. An idea popped to mind. "How about I take you for ice cream if you're good today?" he questioned, hoping the boy would get up.

Chris sat up and rubbed his eyes "Triple scoop?" Chris asked tossing his legs over the end of the bed.

A smile spread across the butler's face. "Of course. That is, if you're not naughty." He replied, walking over to the boy's closet and searching for something the younger boy could wear. Taking out clothes, he waltzed back over to the boy. He put down the clothes, pulling off the boy's nightshirt and setting it aside, before working on putting the clothes he had picked on the boy.

Chris held his arms to his side being patient as he was dressed "What must I do today? And any word on mother and father?"

Alexander paused for a moment when he heard the child's questions. He continued to dress the boy before responding. "Well," he began, tugging on his glove. "You're going to be finding some new help. They're coming in today. On top of that there are a few people that were suppose to meet with your parents, but they're not here. So, you will be speaking with them. And... No, I've not had any word on your parents."

"Do I have to hire more help? You do fine on your own don't you?" Chris whined hating having to sit through the boring interviews.
