Yugioh GX: Academy Days (For Bare Harold)

Jaden had his deck in his duel disk and was ready to meet Syrus. Syrus wanted to ask Jaden advice on how he can equal his brother Zane. Jaden, being a good friend, thought that he would give as much advice as he could, even though he didn't think it would do much good. Syrus still seemed much worse than Zane, but who knew? It might change.

On her way to the Silfer Red dorm was well known Obelisk Blue student Alexis Rhodes. This gas become A bit of her tradition of coming over to the Slifer Red dorm to hang out with her friends, specifically Jaden Yuki. She also had her duel disk on her arm as well the deck inside in case she gets A chance to duel Jaden as well. She walks up the stairs and knocks on his door.

Jaden was surprised as he heard the door knock. He wasn't expecting to meet anybody, outside of Syrus. He answered the door and saw Alexis. "Oh, hey Alexis," Jaden said. "What brings you here?" he asked curiously. He wasn't surprised she had her duel disk with him. Jaden couldn't imagine life without his duel disk and figured that Alexis had her own reasons. "I'm going to see Sy. Do you want to come?"

"Sure. I just came over to see if you wanted to have A quick duel." Alexis asked but when she heard his plans she decided to alter them a little. "Sure no problem. Maybe I can come with you and give you some help?" Alexis questioned as she wanted to get some time for A duel with Jaden. She offered to help with giving Syrus training because she didn't really want to feel as A third wheel sitting around.

Jaden gave a wide smile. "That sounds great! Come on! Syrus should be in the courtyard somewhere," Jaden cheered as he ran off, not paying attention to if Alexis was following him. Syrus was currently looking at his deck when he saw Jaden and Alexis approach. "Oh, hey Jaden and Alexis?" Syrus asked, confused. Alexis never showed any interest in helping him before so he didn't know why she was here.

"Yeah. I wanted to see if Jden was free but he told me that he was going to see you so I decided to tag along. Hope I won't be too much of A distraction." Alexis said although she said the last part A bit uninterested as she steps to the side to allow them to get started.

Syrus looked surprised. "I guess not," Syrus said nervously since he wasn't used to anyone paying attention to him being trained with Jaden. Jaden smiled as he begun helping Syrus out. It was obvious to anyone watching that Syrus was doing very poorly. It was especially bad, when he forgot what a Flip Effect was.

As Alexis was watching the two practice she couldn't hold back A groan and dropping her head in her hands seeing Syrus forget how flip effects work. She couldn't believe she was watching this. She didn't hate Syrus but the boy's nerves made him nearly worthless in A duel. She wondered how long this would last.

Syrus blushed in embarrassment as he heard Alexis groan. He didn't need to be reminded that he screwed up. However, this only made things worse as he tried to activate a trap card directly from his hand. "Come on Sy," Jaden pleaded. "You know you have to set a trap card first and then activate it later."

The Flip Effect thing she could understand and let go as A simple mistake, but Alexis couldn't help but let out A "Come On" as she watches the boy try to activate A trap card from his hand. Granted she knew that one of his monsters had A effect that allows this but he didn't have it out so he was just wasting time. Alexis continues to watch with a bored look looking on in the duel wondering if Syrus could pull off one move without any mistakes.
