Yugioh: Teachting Tea (For Little Demon)
(All characters are 18+)
Yugi looked up from the new booster pack he got as he listened to Tea's request again. "You want me to teach you to duel better?" Yugi asked confused as he looked at Tea. "Why though? I thought you didn't like dueling, not really. And unlike Joey, I didn't think you wanted to grow pro", Yugi noted.

"I know... but there are so many tournaments to compete in!" Tea said. She had a dream of someday moving to New York and becoming a professional dancer. But to do that, she'd need money, and a lot more money than she got with a part-time job at Burger World. Competing in Duel Monsters tournaments was the perfect way to earn, especially when she could learn from the best.

Yugi sighed as he looked at Tea. Even though he had grown up, he had barely gained two inches of height. It would be very weird teaching Tea, since she was much taller than he was. Yugi looked at Tea and sighed, "Alright, I will teach you, but you have to promise to do everything I say, ok? Dueling is more complicated than it looks." That was a half-lie. In truth, Yugi also wanted to devote time to working on his own game.

"I promise I'll do everything you say," Tea swore. She passed him her own deck. It was full of spell cards and mostly Light and Fairy monsters. There were a few traps, but not enough to really turn a duel in her favor. "Can you look at this deck and tell me what you think of it?"

Yugi looked through her deck and tried to think of the most generous way possible of stating his opinion. "It's better than Joey's deck when he first started," Yugi said. "But this deck is a little old. Even Kaiba needs to update his deck every here and there. And you don't have a lot of trap cards really. And most of your monsters are rather weak."

"Okay..." Tea looked over his shoulder as he went through her cards. "So, what do you recommend? What kind of traps should I use?"

Yugi was unsure of how to answer that question. "Umm, trap cards in general disrupt your opponent," Yugi pointed out. "I guess i would recommend ones that destroy your opposing monsters." The downside was that cards like Mirror Force or Trap Hole were expensive and very rare. "Your best bet would be to trade or open booster packs," Yugi suggested. With the exception of Time Wizard, Joey got his cards all by himself.

"I one time saw a duelist on television use Bell of Destruction. It nearly cost him the duel, but in the end he managed to turn it around with a Hinotama when his opponent was down to 100 Life Points. Can you duel me and give me some pointers?"

(I think you mean Ring of Destruction.)
Yugi sighed. "Both of those cards are exceptionally rare Tea," he pointed out. "But I will help you with a duel," Yugi said with a smile. "And there can be a reward or a punishment depending on how well you do," he warned as he took out his deck. He didn't take out a duel disk since Tea didn't have one. He held out his deck so Tea could shuffle it.
(No joke, in universe both Ring of Destruction and Hinotama are rare. Keep in mind, apparently Rex's best card for a time was Two-Headed King Rex...A normal monster with 1600 atk points.)

(Oops. Definitely called Bell of Destruction in older video games, but that's what I meant. And yes, I remember 1400 ATK was considered strong.)
Tea shuffled the deck for him, and let him shuffle hers. She drew her cards, fairly pleased at the hand she drew. She had Kanan the Swordmistress, which was one of the strongest cards in her deck right off the bat. In the mean time, she placed Happy Lover in defense mode.
