"I haven't." Reid pouted, "It's a brand new episode!" He sighed, before going on to tease him a bit, and then ask if the coffee machine had been fixed. Hotch said that he didn't know if it had been fixed yet or not, and then suggested that he go over there and look. "Shouldn't you know, though? You're the Unit Chief." Reid said, before giving him a blank stare as he requested an espresso. "If I get to leave early~." He said in a sort of sing song voice, but he did get up anyways and he headed over to the coffee machine, noticing the 'Out of Order' sign still posted and he pouted. He was getting antsy without his coffee for the day. So he wandered back to the table and plopped down.

"Nope, it's still out of order." He sighed, finishing up his sandwich. "I guess we should get back to work, then..." Reid suggested as Hotch finished his meal as well, getting up and he waited for the man before heading back to the office with his boss.

Just as he planned, when he knew Doctor Who was going to be on, he snuck away from his desk and headed to the break room, telling Morgan he wanted a quick drink. And he settled into a comfy chair and turned on his show, planning on watching it for the next hour.

Hotch shrugged his shoulders, "Exactly, I don't have time to keep an eye on maintenance, Reid." he answered and shook his head when he said he would get his espresso if he got to leave early, "Not going to happen." he shot him down right away. He finished up his sub and nodded when Reid came back and explained that the coffee machine was still out of order. "I see. Well never mind, I'm sure you can last the rest of the day." he answered, patting him on the shoulder.

Hotch didn't know about Reid's plans to sneak off, and at the moment he didn't even notice Reid was gone. Unfortunately though, it wouldn't be long until he found out.

Reid was burrowed into his comfortable chair, watching Doctor Who so intently that he didn't even notice Emily Prentiss come in, the woman glancing at him and then at the TV, before smirking. Oh, he was going to be a sore little boy soon. And she could get a rouse out of Hotch through this, as well! She quickly grabbed a donut from this afternoon, heading out while totally stuffing her face. She wiped her mouth and then headed into Hotch's office after knocking.

"Hey, Hotch." She said with a dazzling smile, heading over to his desk and she rounded it, sitting on the edge of his desk, next to him, just like Fran Fine off of The Nanny. "I know something that you don't know." She said, the grin still evident on her face. "And I know that you would want to know it~." She teased him, the flirtation evident.

Hotch looked up when he heard the knocking, "Come in." he called out and then almost sighed when he saw it was Emily Prentiss, didn't she have anything better to do than flirt with him aimlessly? He shook his head when she said she knew something that he didn't know, "I'm sure there are a lot of things you know that I don't." he answered and put his head down again, basically not very interested in what she had to say, "Now either come out with it or leave my office, I'm very busy unlike you." he told her firmly.

He had no idea that Reid was currently being very naughty.

Emily rose an eyebrow at the man as he said that he was sure there were a lot of things that she knew that he didn't. "Mmhm." She agreed with that, before watching the man look immediately disinterested, telling her to either come out with it or leave, because he was very busy unlike her. She chuckled at that--if only Hotch knew about her past... He'd learn one day. But it wasn't the day, yet.

"It's about Spencer." She said, looking at her nails and she peered over at what he was working on. "He's being naughty. I figured you should know. I could tell you exactly what he's doing, but I think I need a little bit of incentive..." She hummed.

Hotch looked up right away when Emily told him it was about Spencer and he groaned when she said he was being naughty. But then again her version of 'naughty' could be entirely different from his, either that or she could be having him on. "Okay, so what's he doing?" he asked, sitting back in his chair and crossing his arms over his chest. He rolled his eyes at the incentive part.

"Or I could go and find out myself." He frowned, getting to his feet and walking over to his open office door, "I'll find him, I always do."

Emily looked down at Hotch as he asked her what Spencer was doing, leaning back in his chair and crossing his arms over his chest. She couldn't help but smirk at that, thinking about how attractive he could be just by looking how he normally did--stern and slightly agitated. Hell yeah. But her fun came crashing to an end as he said that he could just go find out himself, heading to the door, Emily right on his heels.

"Waaaait." She said, moving beside him and paused him with a gentle hand on his arm. She sighed. "He's in the break room. He told Morgan he was going to get a quick drink, but he's been in there for at least twenty minutes watching Doctor Who." She informed him, letting go of his arm. "Do I at least get a reward?" She asked, smirk right back on her face.

Hotch paused when Emily put a hand on his arm, the man's features softening a bit, he might not have been interested but he wasn't heartless. When she told him where he was, he groaned and shook his head unhappily, "That little brat, oh he won't be sitting for the next few days, I'll make sure of it." he told himself with a low growl and then turned back to Emily when she asked if she got a reward. Hotch tutted, "Well, I suppose so." he answered and gently pecked her cheek.

"Now I need to get my brat." he walked to the break room and frowned, clearing his throat, "Ehem! Spencer." he scolded.

Emily explained what had happened, feeling a bit bad for Spencer but she cared about the kid as well and she knew what sort of relationship that Hotch and him had, and it wouldn't do Spencer any good to get away with what he was doing, especially since she knew that Hotch wouldn't want him to get away with it. Plus, on her own side of things, she did get to talk to Hotch alone! "Poor Spence." She said, shaking her head when Hotch guaranteed that his little brat wouldn't be sitting for the next few days, Emily then asking if she got a reward for helping him out. She grinned when he said that he supposed so--before leaning down a bit to peck her on the cheek.

Jesusfuckingchristyes, was her rushed thought. "Don't hurt him too bad." She called after him--soon as he was gone I guarantee you that she ran straight to SSA Jennifer Jareau, or JJ's, office and squealed about what had just happened, leaving out the details of Spencer getting spanked.

Spencer, speaking of which, had no idea that Hotch had just came into the break room, and he jumped when Hotch cleared his throat and said his name, Spencer turning around. "O-Oh! Hotch! I-- I was just sitting down for a second... Umm... While the coffee brewed..." He said, wide-eyed.

Hotch narrowed his eyes at Spencer's excuse about the coffee, did he really think he was stupid or something? "That's enough." he scolded, "The coffee machne is out of order, so that's a lie...hm, let me think, Okay that's ten on your backside. Plus the fact you disobeyed me, hmmm...that's another twenty. He then frowned. And shirking your work to watch TV, I'd say that deserved the paddle." he explained and walked over, grabbing Spencer by the ear.

"Now you're the genius, why don't you tell me what your punishment is going to be?"
