A Hunter and His Prey ((For ShadowPan10))

The streets were bright and busy. There was a jewelry store in the middle of the small city, millions of diamonds inside. A young male dressed in a neat suit entered the jewelry store. He pushed up the sunglasses that sat on his face. A bright smile drew to his face, searching around to spot the largest diamond. Crystal blue eyes spotted the target. It was incased in Plexiglas case. Despite what everyone thought, it was actually very simple to get into that. “What a beauty.” The boy said out loud, not noticing the man standing behind him.

“It’s our most prestigious diamond. It was delivered to us from Thailand. Very valuable and quite costly” The man replied, making the younger boy’s grin larger. He loved every second of looking at the gracious thing.

“It’s marvelous.” He whispered, backing away from the case. “I must say I’m intrigued. You’ll definitely have to tell me more about this.” He smiled innocently at the man, taking one of the pamphlets that would explain everything about the diamond. “I’ll have to come back when I get my money.” He replied, pushing his glasses up.

“Oh no. It isn’t for sale.” The man said, explaining that it was just for decoration. He would hate to part with the thing. The frown didn’t dissipate. He was going to get it one way or another.

“I see. Well, I’ll have to leave now. I may come back tomorrow and buy something. My fiancé would love the biggest ring you have.” He smiled, waving to the man before walking out of the store. He would wait around for nightfall. He had scanned the entire store, checking where all the cameras were, checking to see what kind of alarms the store was equipped with. He was ready for the night.

As the sun set the store came to a close. The day came to a close, darkness surrounding the city. It was the perfect time for the perfect crime. A grin rose to the young male’s lips. He slipped his way though the vents, peeking in at the end. He sprayed something into the room, red lines covering the store. A few covered the case. He slipped to the ground, making sure not to hit any of the lights. He suspected there would be a motion detector. His gloved hands slipped under the platform, a beep coming from something under. He loved geeks. Gently he picked the platform up, picking up the diamond then setting the platform back where it was.

Without much effort the boy jumped back into the vents, crawling back up. Getting to the roof, he jumped out. He took a moment to sit on the roof admiring the beauty in his hands. It seemed the night was going to go perfectly.

The infamous Bounty Hunter known simply as Shadow Pan was out and about that night. He heard that a robbery might take place at Steve's Jewelery Store. Shadow Pan loved keeping to roof tops, since that helped him track down and capture his prey. Dressed entirely in black complete with a black hat and a black mask that covered half of his face, Shadow Pan scanned the area. His attention was drawn to the roof of the jewelery store as the soft gleam of the diamond caught his eye.

'Impressive,' Shadow Pan thought to himself, 'He did all that in under 3 minutes.'

Stealthy, Shadow Pan made his way to the roof and stood behind the boy. With a grin, Shadow Pan grabbed the boy by the right shoulder.

"What are you up to, boy?!" Shadow Pan asked in a gruff voice.

The diamond was so beautiful. The only shiny thing in the night, the male put it up to his face, feeling the cool object against his skin. He didn’t hear police, so he knew that no alarms had tricked. If they had then the police were certainly very bad at their jobs. His legs kicked gently against the edge of the building, about to put away the diamond before feeling a hand on his shoulder. The boy jumped, not expecting anyone to grab him. How could he let anyone grab him, he had made sure that no one knew about the heist. Then again, he knew there were some people who had sources, or even just a hunch.

Putting the diamond into his bag, he turned his head to look at the man. There wasn’t much to see. He was dressed in black; it was night, which only made it harder to see. Putting on a small smile, he stared at the man innocently.

“Can I help you with something?” he questioned, his shoulder moving a bit to try and get out of the man’s grip. He didn’t like being in others people’s grip. Without thinking his hand drew up, pushing down between the other’s wrist and hand, pushing between two bones to make the other release him.

"You can tell me why your sitting up here for starters," Shadow Pan replied as he grabbed the boy's wrist with his free hand and squeezed, "And secondly, why you put that prized diamond in your bag."

Shadow Pan was incredibly strong and very agile. There was no other Bounty Hunter that could compete with Shadow Pan.

Hayden winced at the grip. Immediately he tried to escape it, pulling his wrist away. His body didn’t move much, not wanting to fall. His crystal eyes peered down for a moment, checking to see just how far down the ground was. Too dark to see anything.

“I’m sitting up here…” He began, his wrist fidgeting in the man’s grip. “Because I wanted to get some fresh air. And secondly, I found it on the ground. I thought I might grab it so that I could give it to the owner tomorrow.” He smiled, keeping the bag close to him and far from the man.

"I highly doubt that," Shadow Pan stated as he moved the boy over his knee, "Last chace to come fully clean with me."

The boy blinked, not expecting this at all. He tried to move away, trying to escape the man’s grasp. “That’s what happened. What makes you think otherwise?” he asked, not understanding what was going on. “I can go put it back now if you want. But you have to let me go first.” He stated, letting out a soft sigh.

"I will return the diamond," Shadow Pan stated as he placed the boy over his knee and lowered the boy's pants, "Plus, the owner of this jewelery store is a very good friend of mine and I know that the diamond you have in your bag came from his store."

"No, no. That's ok. I can do it." He replied making sure the bag was still attached to him. He blinked when he suddenly felt himself looking at the ground. He wasn't sure what the man was thinking, but he didn't like where this was going. "What are you doing?" he asked, moving around and trying to get free of the other's grip.

"What should have been done to you a long time ago," Shadow Pan replied as he pinned the boy down and raised his free hand and then brought it down, hard.
