Landon Cunningham was a very successful businessman who made his first million by the time he was nineteen, and his first billion just this last year when he turned twenty five years old. He had everything money could buy but something was still missing from his life. He'd tried the girlfriend thing, but that had never worked because he was too controlling. Pets were annoying and needy so he'd never attempted those. So he'd decided to go and buy a Neko girl and see how that worked, worse case scenario he would return or sell her if he didn't like her. Mainly, he was bored and thought that having a Neko around would enteratin him or at the very least give him something to do with his free time.

His companies were so well made that they practically ran themselves so he only had to spend a few hours online every day to make sure everything was going smoothly. So he had a lot of free time. The morning he was going to the store he dressed in one of his more expensive suits and put a collar he'd had made the other day into his pocket so he could collar her if he picked one out today. He was extremely picky so it may take a few attempts to find one he liked. He had his driver take him to the most espensive and highest rated Neko store in the area and went inside where he demanded that the owner show him her finest stock immediately.

Summer blinked her green eyes as she was woken up from the bright light streaming in from the window, she tried to stretch her arms only to find that they had been shackled behind her back after her latest escape attempt, her ears twitched as she heard the door get opened for her breakfast but she turned her head refusing to eat as her dark brown hair fell into her eyes, she had been trying for a while to use her tail to move her hair as her hands were often shackled but she had never gotten the hang of it

Landon followed the owner of the store as the woman showed him several of her 'best' Neko girls. They were all very pretty, naturally since all Nekos were, but they were too docile. They each perked up when he looked at them, purring and trying to look sweet and obedient. He would grow tired of them in a day. He wanted a more challenging form of entertainment. He was about to tell the owner of the store that none of the supply interested him when he spotted a girl at the end of the row who had her arms tied behind her back and had refused the food given to her by the employee. She was so different from the others that he felt drawn to her and he walked over to her cage, crouching down to get a look at her green eyes through the hair that was falling over her face. The store's owner came down with him and he looked up at her "What's this one's name and why is she bound like that?" He asked, curious about the girl.

"This one?" The store owner asked slightly surprised "Her name is Summer and she is bound because she keeps trying to escape" he explained as Summer looked at him defiantly, she hated the store owner how would he like being locked up all day and night? and have people looking at you everyday, Summer glared at the man next to the store owner before she turned her head away once more and wrapped her tail underneath her legs

He grinned slightly when he heard that she was like this because she kept trying to escape, that meant she had spirit. A little spirit was a good thing, but too much would be annoying, so he'd just have to see what came out of this. His grin turned into a smile when Summer glared at him before turning her head away as if he were beneath her notice. Spirited and prideful, a potent combination but he felt he was game. "I'll take her." He said, straightening up and pulling out a checkbook. "How much is she?" He asked, not caring about the price. He looked down at Summer as he waited for the store owner to name her price, wondering how she was reacting to his announcement that he would buy her.

Summer refused to look round at the two men as they discussed her as if she was not there or could not hear them, she heard the store owner name a price which deep down she was torn about part of her wanted to get out of the store but part was worried about the man that would buy her, he could possibly treat her worse but she wasn't going to show that she was scared no matter what happened

He never even paused to consider that she may not like hearing them talk about her like this, or that she might be afraid. He was a tough man, some have said harsh, but he would not abuse her and he certainly would not keep her locked up in a small cage all day. If she behaved herself she would not have much to worry about living with him. He turned his attention to the owner of the store when the man named a price that was rather lower than Landon had been expecting.

He nodded, accepting the price and telling the man he wanted a leash too, then he filled out the check and handed it to the man. "Unlock her cage and I'll handle everything from there." he said, grabbing a nice leather leash off the wall and taking the teal collar he'd brought for her out of his pocket. It was a nice collar made of leather but the leather had been wrapped in teal colored silk and was soft, it would be comfortable as long as she did not pull too hard against it because the leather could hurt her neck if she tugged it too much.

The store owner knelt down and unlocked Summer's cage before he roughly took her by the chin and forced her to look at him "I'm going to unbind your hands now but you are not going to run or punch or kick, do I make myself clear Summer?"
Summer glared at the store owner as her ears twitched slightly in anger, she refused to answer him and instead did the only thing she could do with her hands still bound, she kicked him harshly in knee
The store owner raised his hand to Summer before he remembered she no longer belonged to him, he stood up and turned to Landon "It seems that Summer is in a rebellious mood today, would you permit me to punish her or do you wish to deal with her yourself sir?"

Landon watched as the man gripped her roughly and threatened her. He would have stepped in and told the man to stop manhandling his property but he was curious to see what she would do. She glared at him and kicked him before he even got the cuffs off of her arms and Landon was hard pressed not to laugh. His humor faded when the man raised a hand to her, and he was about to step in when the man seemed to realize that Summer did not belong to him anymore so he had no right to strike her. The man turned to face Landon and asked if he had permission to punish her or if Landon would do it.

"No, you may not punish her and I have no intention of doing it either. You should have been more careful if you knew she was a fighter. Give me the keys to her cuffs." He commanded with a curt voice, reaching out for them. Once he had it he turned to Summer and his voice softened slightly "Turn around and I'll take those cuffs off of you, Summer. Be good for me and we'll stop and get you some nice things on the way home." He promised her, knowing that sometimes the best way to get through to something was to offer it kindness, then if it spit it back in your face punish it. The old 'carrot and stick' method.

Summer watched as the store owner walked away and handed the keys to the other man, her ears twitched as he spoke to her, she was a little surprised that he was talking to her softly and trying to bargain with her, she had expected to be hit like the store owner and his employees usually did but maybe he was different, she slowly turned around and offered him her bound hands before she moved her tail out of the way
