Default A Lost Child - PhantomPhan

The Doctor put both hands on Amy's fore arms and grinned popping his head inbetween her and Rory. "So gang, ha, gang isn't that great I have a gang now!" he sprang forward toward the main console of the TARDIS and swung on his heel to face the two of them again. "So!" he clapped his hands and rubbed them together happily, where do you want to go? The Collaseums of Zooldilbe? Or the Diamond planet neighbouring the Earth's solar system?" he began to occupy his itching fingers on the many buttons and knobs of the panel. "Mind you we'll need very strong sunglasses, veeeeery shiny planet." he added.

"You've never shown us your home Planet Doctor...what was is again, Gardenfry?" Rory asked suddenly, but also in a slightly choked voice.

The Doctor's grin faded and he didn't look at all at Rory as he replied in a more solemn tone, "Gallifrey, and no we're not going there because it's boring." he stated and then smiled again, "So...Amy, Amelia Pond where would you like to go?"

Amy watched the Doctor with amusement as he rattled off names of various, many ones she'd most certainly never heard of before. And would probably never again.

The Doctor acted like such a child at times - actually, no, make that most of the time. If they weren't fighting Daleks or Weeping Angels. Amy shuddered at the thought of the Weeping Angels; they would always creep her out.

The ginger-haired woman looked towards her husband as he asked about the Doctor's home planet. She remembered the Doctor only mentioning it once and never again. He'd once said he'd killed all the Time Lords didn't he? Perhaps that was why he didn't want to go? Because there was no one there to visit?

Amy took a sharp breath in, thinking about where she wanted. "Ooh, I'd quite like to go somewhere sunny for once. But, surprise me, Doctor."

Rory looked at Amy as she offered a more positive alternative, grateful for the subject change. "I didn't mean to upset you Doctor." he stated and looked down at the control panel, "I was just curious."

"That's alright Rory." The Doctor smiled, walking over to Rory and squishing his cheeks between his fingers, "You could never upset me." he laughed and released his jaw, walking over to the control panel again and setting down co-ordinates. "Alright then, I'd like to treat you both to the Sarfiani Solar planet which is actually the only nebulon son of the well, of the sun." he grinned, fixated his blu bow tie and straightening his tweed jacket. "You should see the waters there, the clearest pink colour you are ever going to get, I like the colour pink, who doesn't? Pink rocks."

Finally the TARDIS went into orbit and then moments later it landed with a small thud. "Amy, Rory-" he grinned and walked over to the TARDIS door, hand hesitating on the handle for suspense. "I give you the planet of-" he threw back the door and looked out. Immediately his positive and bright features darkened and he looked almost annoyed. Dropping his voice to an angry hiss he seemed to be talking to the TARDIS. "Why have you brought us here?" he upturned his lip and rolled his eyes before taking a deep inhale and turning back to Amy and Rory.

"Right!" he put on a fake smile contrasting to how he was feeling, "Rory the TARDIS must really like you, because welcome to the planet Gallifrey." The Doctor introduced, gesturing a hand to the door, "I suppose while we are here we can do a short tour."

"Yeah, Rory," Amy began, also squishing his cheeks between her fingers, "You could never upset the Doctor." She released him, laughing.

"Pink?" Amy scrunched her nose up, crossing her arms. She walked over to the Doctor, poking him in the chest. "I don't like pink. It's for little girls and I am not a little girl."

Then she was all ready to run out the TARDIS doors, when the Doctor suddenly turned angry. She waited for what the Doctor had to say. Whatever it was, he was definitely not happy about it.

"Wait, did you just say Gallifrey?" Amy asked, a mix of confusion and delight in her voice. "Well, I don't about you, Rory, but I want to see this!" Without waiting for the Doctor and her husband, she rushed out the TARDIS. "Whoa... it's beautiful." She glanced all around the orange planet, she had never seen anything like it before. "Doctor, why have you never brought us here before? This is... wonderful."

The Doctor leaned his side against the TARDIS frame, his arms folded over his chest and his breathing rather deep. He hardly noticed Amy run out past him and become so awe struck about his home planet. The Doctor personally had not missed this planet at all, all the guilt and anger that writhed up inside of him was not a very welcomed feeling by the Time Lord.

"Hm?" He looked over to Amy when she adressed him and he sighed, walking over toward her, keeping his arms crossed. "I don't really think it's all that wonderful, like a dried up orange really...the Sarfiani planet is far more interesting..." he added but sighed in defeat knowing Amy would want to get her views worth. "Come along Rory!" he called back, wanting this little outing to be over as quickly as possible.

Rory walked out and looked around the extremely orange planet, "It's really lovely Doctor, looks like an explosion though..." he added not sure if they were the right choice of words.

"A graveyerd more like." The Doctor mumbled and sighed, locking the TARDIS door before walking off to catch up with Rory. "Alright Pond, stick by me at all times...this is a big planet and I don't want to have to put a search party out for you." he joked and then turned to Rory, "And that goes for you too." he grinned, trying to personally cheer himself up.

"Excuse me?" Amy's head whipped towards him, giving him a stare of disbelief. "Did you really just call your own planet a dried up orange? This is your planet, you could have just a bit more respect for it." She couldn't understand how someone could act that towards their own planet. "Rory, don't call it that! It does not..." She swallowed a little, realising he was just a little right. "Look like an explosion, don't be silly."

Amy began to walk forwards, taking in the big mountains and just how orange the place was. She waved a hand at the Doctor as he talked to her.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever you say." She didn't really hear him. "So, where is everyone else?" She decided not to mention the whole killing all the Time Lords thing. "I'm sure they'd love to see you again."

"As The Doctor I have respect for everything that matters...and we've come to the end of that sentence." The Doctor stated darkly and walked along with Amy in front and Rory to the side of him. "No he's right, it's basically the left overs of the Time War and so yes, an explosion would be an an excellent description." he agreed and looked around with a sigh at the all too familiar planet.

"Everyone else?" he questioned, raising a single eyebrow, "I killed all the Time Lords here Amy, there is no one else." he stated but shook his head, "Have you got your good doseage yet? I think we should head back to the TARDIS and find a more...exciting location."

"Who's that?" Rory asked, pointing over to something moving near and an upturned rock.

"So have respect for your own damn planet then," Amy muttered under her breath, not wanting to push the Doctor too far. "I still don't think it looks like an explosion, but whatever."

"Doctor, you couldn't have killed them all. I'm sure you've got a good reason, but what about the children?" Amy asked. "Surely you didn't kill them, Doctor?" She turned to the Doctor, not looking very happy at all. "No, I have not got my good dosage yet. We are staying here until we find someone and that's final." Then she spun back round when Rory spoke. Without waiting, Amy ran over to the rock.

By the rock was a young girl - Amy guessed she had to be about ten - her hair dark and her eyes a bright blue, but filled with emptiness. She didn't even glance up to Amy, she just tried to run away. But Amy grabbed her arm, not firmly, gently. "You're okay," she spoke in a motherly tone. "I'm not here to hurt you."

"Doctor, it's a girl," Amy told the Time Lord. This got a reaction out of the girl.

"T-The Doctor? He's here?"

Amy bent down, hugging the girl to her. "Yes, the Doctor is here. You'll be fine now."

"What do you mean 'who'?" The Doctor asked, spinning round on his heel to properly face Rory, He then looked to where the blonde man was pointing. He wtihdrew his sonic screwdriver from his inside jacket pocket and scanned the area with his little green coloured light. "Okay...there is life?" he frowned and could hardly believe it. "A girl?" he repeated and skipped over as fast as he could, his eyes wide. He scanned the little girl with his sonic screwdriver and frowned, "But you're a Time Lord child...how..how did you survive the Time War?" He bent down to her level and looked into her eyes, smiling softly. "It's alright, what's your name?"

Rory walked over and frowned, "I thought there was no one here..."

Amy let the girl go, so the Doctor could speak to her. She kept one hand on the child's head, though, feeling she had to protect the little girl. The child clung to Amy's leg, not answering the Doctor. "It's okay," Amy said gently. "You can answer his question. He won't get mad at you."

This seemed to inject some confidence in the girl. She let go of Amy. "My name is Ashleigh. I survived the Time War by hiding and running. All I could do, really." Then tears sprang to her eyes and she rushed forward, wrapping her arms around the Doctor. "I-I thought no one would ever come for me!"

"Doctor, we can't leave her here," Amy said firmly. "We're taking her, I don't care what you say."
