A visitor to the island of Patch stands before a lone grey cement grave marker on the edge of a cliff overlooking a dense forest. Etched on it was a white rose with writing beneath it. "Thus Kindly I scatter." Is what it read. The stranger with orange spiky hair knelt down and touched the grave. "So this is where you now rest... Mrs Rose?" he asked as if the departed huntress could hear him. He gives only a half smile. "I wish I could have met you one more time... I wanted to show you how much I've learned." He stands back up. "But what's done is done... at least I get the chance to pay my respects finally. I heard your died six years ago... better late than never I guess." he takes a deep breath "Thank you for all you did for me and my village and thank you for inspiring me to walk the path of a huntsman..."

While Summer could not give a reply, he did soon notice footsteps behind him. "Um, excuse me?" a voice said hesitantly, coming from a young girl wearing a long red hood as she hesitantly waved towards him. "What are you doing here? Mom... normally doesn't get a lot of visitors." she added with a small shrug, walking up beside him and looking at the tombstone as well. "Did you... know her, or something?" she asked, glancing back at him curiously.

Terra did hear footsteps behind him followed by a cute voice. He looked back and from just the corner of eye he thought he saw Summer. He then swirved around in shock only to better see it was someone different. He sighed with a mix of relief and disappointment. A small part of him wanted Summer to still be alive, but when she mentions Mom he was surprised and didn't answer her first question. But when she asked if he knew her he responds "Uh... yeah... I did... a long time ago when I was ten. She protected our village from Grimm for a time. She was amazing... she inspired me to become a huntsman." he looked down at the petite girl "Are you by chance Ruby Rose?" he felt he was right in his assumption so continued, facing her, looking her up. "You are a spitting image of her. Right down to the cape and cowl. I like the red and black better. Brings out your pale skin. Oh hehe sorry my name's Terra, Terra thurston." He looks behind her to see her weapon folded up on her lower back. "Is that your weapon? May I see?" he asked with much enthusiasm in his tone.

Ruby continued looking at the boy curiously before blinking in surprise at hearing he'd been saved by her mom before. She couldn't help smiling afterwards. "Heh, yeah. She is amazing... she inspired me too." she said, giving a nod as she looked at the tombstone again. She then blinked and looked back when he guessed her name. "Yup, that's me." she added with a smile, before blinking and blushing slightly as she looked down and adjusted her skirt. "Hehe, thanks, I guess." she said awkwardly before looking up at him. "Oh, okay. Nice to meet you, Terra." she nodded in agreement. When he asked about her weapon though, she couldn't help grinning. "Sure! No problem!" she said happily, both taking out and unleashing Crescent Rose as she swung it into the ground alongside her. "THIS is Crescent Rose! I made him all by myself!" she said proudly, looking at him.

Terra bobbed his eyes in amazement at how her weapon transformed into a scythe. "Wow! That's awesome!" he exclaimed. "And you made that all by yourself? That's a lot of moving parts." He stairs in awe of her weapons for a moment more before reaching behind his back and draws his weapon a long polearm with one side of the blade longer than the other he twirls it around with style before striking a battle stance "This is my pride and joy, Gungnir. Part lance..." he pulls a handle out from the side of the pole and the blade of the lands splits open down the middle and reveals a gun barrel. "Part gun."

"Hehe, thanks, I spent a long time working on it." Ruby said cheerfully, setting her scythe aside and lifting her head proudly before glancing over and watching Terra draw his own weapon before looking it over. "Woah! That's SO amazing!" she said, coming up and looking it over. "Not to mention that's a perfect place for the gun to go too!"

He nods "I though so too... hey... I've never faced a scythe wielder before..." he takes glance at the time on his scroll. "I still got time before the airship comes. How about a friendly duel?" he challanged.

"A duel?" Ruby blinked in surprise, looking at him before smiling. "Heh, you're on! But be careful, I'' the second best scythe we older in all of Vale." She said with a smirk, spinning her scythe around her before holding it out to the side. "Ready when you are!"

"Hold your horses let's move away from your mother's grave." he suggested before turning away "Come on I remember seeing an open field on my way here." he dashes into the forest, expecting her to follow. Once they arrived he turns to face her twirling his lance and striking a battle stance. "On my mark! 3... 2... 1... FIGHT!" he dashes towards then unleashes a flurry of thrusts and swipes.

"OH, heh yeah. She'd probably be really upset about that." Ruby agreed sheepishly, before blinking as she saw him run off, then grinning and taking off herself. She skidded to a stop behind him and smiled as she resumed her own stance, immediately starting to block and deflect his blows, occasionally leaning aside to dodge one as well. She then fired her rifle while her scythe was pointed down, letting her make an extended leap in the air as she started spinning to bring her scythe back down on him.
