Not so Generic, Not so Bland.
For Sue Bell~
************
Nakuma looked down at her Growlithe with a smile, petting its head. It was unusual to have such a rare pokemon as a starter but she was not really one to follow tradition. Her pushed her blonde hair from in front of her eyes to just past her ear. Nakuma yawned very lightly. Her pokemon brushed itself against her leg. Her tanned skin, more specifically, since she wore a white skirt with a black horizontal stripe and red vertical stripe, slightly off-centered to form a cross of sorts. It was ruffled slightly and just to her knees. She stood at five and a half feet tall, and her seemingly crystal-blue eyes were shining wonderfully. Although they usually were different looking. She wore a white tank top with a washed-out-red jacket over top.
"Lithium," she whispered, that being the name of her pokemon. "I hope you're ready for your adventure with me." She turned her head over towards her friend, her travel companion. "And you had best be ready too, silly!"

Daisy took a deep breath as she peered toward the rising sun, the brunette young women felt a little ill at ease leaving home on her big Pokemon journey. Even though she would be traveling with a local girl a blonde by the name of Nakuma her heart still fluttered about as she made her way down the cobblestone paved streets. Fitting her name Daisy the young girls starter Pokemon was a greenish looking dinosaur looking creature called a Bulbsaur a very basic grass type Pokemon. It was fitting in away that a girl who was named after a flower should have a grass type Pokemon.
“I’m ready Nakuma,” She said in response to her friends question. Daisy was wearing well a balanced outfit one could say, a pale pink tank top tucked into the waistline of teal blue skirt. White socks that reached all the way up to her shins provided a extra amount of modesty and warmth and a pair of new walking shoes competed the outfit, along with her backpack that was filled with, food, a change of clothing and a few poke balls. Her wallet was safty hidden away in her skirt pocket.

Inside of Nakuma's bag hid away essentials, being her wallet, random canned food, items to heal pokemon and an unused pokeball. She wanted to catch one pokemon per region, really, but she knew she had to assemble a team or give up in most battles by always losing. She also held a hairbrush which would perhaps serve multiple purposes. She had a change of clothes and the knowledge of cleaning them. Luckily they did have the option of staying in a pokecenter every so often, but relying on one thing would be preposterous so she made sure to gain new skills before her departure.
"Then let us begin our journey into Kanto! We'll be the great female trainers ever!" In her eyes, it was almost impossible to surpass Red, but Red was a male so the problem was averted. Her eyes glanced towards the sky, staring at the clouds passing overhead. She smiled, then glanced bck at her pokemon, then over to Daisy, then began to walk at the ends of the outskirts, just about to enter the new route. "Too bad Viridian City's gym is closed. . . and the final gym, or I would have attempted already!"
Unfortunately Nakuma was a bit headstrong, often being too overconfident and getting herself into a mess. When she first received her pokemon she thought she would defeat anyone, only to lose to a group of two Pidgey and whining about it the rest of the day while cuddling her pet. But this was not the case now, she knew more about battling and was fully prepared to wreak havoc upon any gym leader! Or so she thought. . .

Daisy smiled a little as she followed closely behind Nakuma, the two where close one could say as close as any two girls could be. Sure there had been there fair share of fights, there share of snatching cookies and yes even some blows had been traded but as fate would have had it, these things had brought the two closer together. For you see dear viewers while Nakuma was head strong and bold, Daisy was quite and reserve, she was the one to sit back and plan things out, to tend to wounded Pokemon and nurse them back to health. To mend a torn skirt or to provided care for a scraped knee.
“I’m sure we will, lets just avoid the more darken areas of the Viridian’s forest, remember the popular legands. You know about the one where trainers getting lost in the woods and never finding there way out. Or the popular Kwaiden about the old ‘Witch’.” Daisy was also a book worm, beside knowing a good deal on Pokemon, Pokemon grooming and the varies grass base attacks and what now she also had devoted a good of her time brushing up on countless folklore believes that added to the rich quilt of varies regions.
Then she stopped as a small blush colored her face, she signed and then lifted her eyes toward the heavens a mass of gathering storm clouds could be seen forming up, and the wind was already starting to change, one could feel tiny bits of moister and dampness in the swift blowing wind. “I need to train too, If I’m ever going to over throw my aunt.” Daisy had grown up in the shadow of her aunt. Most nieces loved there aunts because they where a mixture of big sister and mommy. But no, Daisy’s aunt had been a harsh mistress of a women who had scolded and in her mind taken every chance to totally humiliated her.
“Come on Kuma-chan! We gotta hit the trail already.” She said knowing the only the way to get stronger was to train and battle her way across kanto and then onward to Johto. But first the two needed to make it through the vast maze of Virdian forest.

"I wish there was an easy way out of Viridian Forest," Nakuma said, referring to the bug pokemon. She was not their biggest fan, but she would not be deterred, ever, period. She was walking already, motioning for her friend to keep up the pace or she would get left behind. "We can train when the pokemon are worth the time battling!" she called, declaring Viridian Forest to filled with nothing but useless, weak bug pokemon. Her Lithium had found itself rubbing against Daisy, then ran to keep up its master, though the run was a jog and a distance of about seven feet so it was not worth mentioning.
Nakuma also had a big problem on her mind: Pewter and then Cerulean City. How was he going to get past those gyms? Rock? Water? Her pokemon was a fire type and it gave her concern about defeating and obtaining the badges, but she knew she would find a way. After all, she was going to be the world's greatest female trainer! Nothing could stop her, especially not a bad type match-up.

Daisy blinked and slowly she started to blush as she started to pick up the pace, “There always Mountain Moon, you know some of the strongest Pokemon trainers go there to train..” She said in response of her friends whining. And then something caught her eye, a brief outline of something brown and yellow darted past the girls. And then another brief flash. It seemed the girls had company, and things where just about to get very hairy indeed.
“Maybe maybe this would be a good place for you to seek a wild Pikachu, you know having one of those on your team would really give you a boost.” She said peering once more toward the sky, a sudden clasp of thunder filled the air. The sudden flash made but she pressed on and soon she was ahead of Nakuma, she needed to reach Cerulean city with the quickness. Once she had defeated Misty she could put all of this fear behind her, then and only then could she become the greatest grass trainer there ever was.
Then Daisy made a foolish mistake, she reached down and picked up a small stone, the stone was a good size one and had been worn down with the passing of countless seasons. Without giving it a second thought she wound the stone up it toward a near by clump of trees. There was no possible way of knowing, but the young women had knocked upon a colony of beedrill. It seemed they would be tested as trainers soon.

(After Viridian Forest you end up in Pewter City for Brock, then Mt. Moon, then Cerulean. You post kind of made me think you forgot about it, lol.)
Lithium ran up alongside Nakuma and barked at the Beedrill, making Nakuma painfully aware of their existence. At least he thought that was what he did, the loud buzzing they made was impossible to ignore and kept her staring at them in fear. She had to think, luckily she had a type advantage but very little experience. Her fear kept her from her woods but her mind shifted to Lithium's noise and she became aware once more.
"D-Daisy!" she gasped. "What did you do!?" She did not blame her friend though, it was impossible to have seen this coming. "C-Come on we have to run! No, battle! Something!" The Beedrill weren't more than a few feet away to her, but were really about twenty as they stared, then rushed at the two aspiring trainers. This made Nakuma choke slightly before commanding an ember.
Her pokemon's flames weren't the strongest but they would hurt any under experienced trainer's pokemon, then even the trainer itself.

Daisy stood frozen in her tracks, she took a deep breath and quickly she reached down and removed one of her poke balls. “I think we need to hold are ground! Go Bulbasaur!” She bellowed as she tossed the poke ball into the air a few painful seconds later the poke ball open to reveal the greenish Pokemon. “Quickly now used vine whip!” She commanded as she pointed toward the oncoming attacks. The honor was at hand to see if there training had paided off, quickly the vines came shooting out of the bulb ontop of her pokemons back.
And just like the hot pieces of fire falling down upon the attackers inflected damage upon the oncoming attacks so too did the well aimed vines, though weak there combined effort brought down the leaders. Earning a few experience points for the team. But there was to be no rest for the weak for a few more joined the fray.
“Pox,” Said Daisy thinking quickly as she removed her backpack and reached into its folds, quickly she fished out a small healing item. “Here Kuma-chan!” She said tossing the poison remover item at her, “You know what to do if Lithium is poisoned.” She commanded as she turned her mind toward the battle at hand.
“If we lose anymore ground.. I’ll hold as long as I can, I tossed the stone, I should be the one to deal with this mess, sorry sis..” She said her mind starting to become clouded by thoughts of anger and self doubt and most of knowing the fact that she brought this down upon themselves.

While Lithium continued to spray hot fire all towards the bugs as Nakuma came to her senses. "It's just Beedrill," she said trying to be reassuring, though she could feel the regret in her friend's voice. "Lithium, take control for now," she nodded, knowing there was only one way to fix this. She walked calmly towards Daisy and pulled her into a very tight embrace. "I'm not leaving and neither are you," she said. "We got into this, we get out." She then turned her head as Lithium barely avoided an attack. "Ember, now!"
And that was it. One was down.

The sudden embrace was enough to calm the ragging storm in Daisy’s mind, it was fitting almost because amid the smell of burning leaves, the cry’s of fainting Pokemon and general fog of war such displays where common. Indeed one might look upon this sign as two young trainers helping each other through there first major Pokemon battle. Once Nakuma pulled away from her she knew what she must do.
“Rose! Keep the vine whips coming, follow up every attack Lithium launchs,, I believe in you girl!” She called toward her beloved Pokemon. And so even though they where surrounded they would not be flanked or overran. Daisy was going to watch Nakuma’s back and she was going to watch her. And like battling sisters they where going to fight there way out of this mess.
And so they did, both Rose and Lithium like there mastered stuck together, each one covered the other, each one did there best to keep the others back covers and one by one the dreaded bee Pokemon feel, one by one the attack started to wane and soon the attacking hive thought it best to beat the drums of retreat. It was over for now anyway.
