(I'll start in our old NC universe, and we can connect with the other worlds once we get to the tournament setting.)

"Goku....Goku! Can you hear me?!"

It was in the middle of the night at the Son Household, at this point both Gohan and Goten were in bed and so were both Chi-Chi and Goku, but a message from above was making Goku a light sleeper for some reason.

Eventually he sat up without awaking his wife, rubbing his eyes and yawning slightly. "(What is it King Kai...? It is a the middle of the night where I am, remember...?)"

"I know, but this is something that you'll be happy to hear!" cam the voice of the North Kai, as he stood outside of the home on his planet. "Listen, this is an event that hasn't occurred in many millennia! Here me out!"

Time passed, into the morning, and right now Goku was much more giddy than usual at the table.

It was something that made Goten raise a brow and tilt his head as he saw his father was in a much more ecstatic state. His questioning look was even more so, when he began to scratch his temple with his tail. His then looked over to his brother and whispered. "What do you think is going on with dad...?"

Gohan blinked, he was as confused as Goten was, but a wide smirk suddenly grew on his face, as he lightly wagged his own tail and whispered back, "Well...maybe mom has been 'very sweet' with him last night..." The boy couldn't help but snicker, which caught Chi-Chi's attention.

"What are you two whispering about...?" She asked, raising a brow. "Eat your breakfast before it gets cold..."

"Yes ma'am!" Gohan grinned, before looking over to his father. "So dad, what's making you look so...excited...?" He asked, doing his best not to burst out laughing.

Goten was in the middle of eating his food when Gohan finally asked the question. He paused and smiled. "Yeah dad, did you get anything sweet...?" he asked, like the naive boy he was.

Goku couldn't help but laugh at the boy's guess and stopped eating as well. "Nope, but I'll tell ya..." he said. "So King Kais ended up speaking to me last night and he told me about this brand new tournament that the Supreme Kais and the other well Supreme Kais were holding, but these Kais were from a whole other universe different from ours and that they're combining a whole bunch of other worlds to hold this super tournament. Think about it, imagine two or three of you guys or myself...!"

".....Three of myself would be awesome, but three of YOU, dad...not to mention Vegeta!" Gohan exclaimed, shuddering at the mere thought of it.

"Wait...another tournament...? And an even bigger one...? There's no way I'm letting the boys go, they need to study! Especially Gohan!" Chi-Chi frowned.

"Oh Kami...here we go again..." Gohan muttered.

Goku frowned and sighed. "C'mon Chi, the boys can't study forever, they need to have some training time too...." then he grinned. "Besides, if we win, think of the prize..." he knew that the thought of the chance of extra funds would entice his wife.

Goten was just awestruck as he thought about it. "Wow...there are even more of me out there...awesome...!"

Gohan looked at his brother and nodded. "Yeah...it's pretty hard to believe, isn't it..." The boy then got lost in his thoughts. "(I wonder how strong the other Gohans are...oh well, I'm definitely the strongest, hehe...!)"

"Goku, I said...!" Chi-Chi started, before blinking a couple of times. Then there came a moment of silence. "......How much...?"

Goten soon hopped up from the table, enthusiastic. "I gotta tell the twins! Well...both sets!" He said as he ran off.

Goku's grin grew as he knew that he had her now. "Winner gets three wishes for anything, and I mean anything that they want without consequence...so one of those could be quite a bit of zeni~." he sang.

"Okay bro, and I gotta finish what you didn't eat...!" Gohan smirked, continuing to stuff his face.

Chi-Chi's eyes widened at this! "You had better win, Goku! You hear me?!" She exclaimed in excitement, slamming her hands at the table.

Goten coiled his tail around his waist having grown used to it and flew all the way to Capsule Corp to tell his friends. He had a that Tai and Kira were probably doing their training with each other, and Trunks had to be with Haya. So he would go search for the fighting kids first and flew towards their location.

Goku gave a laugh. "I take that's your permission granted...?" he said with a smile. "Well alright, I'll definitely give it my all here."

Kira was indeed training with her twin, they were both in the desert, sparring with each other in mid air. At some point, pink hearts grew into the little girl's eyes. "Goten-kun is coming...!" She exclaimed, barely dodging her brother's fist as she was now distracted.

"Good!" Chi-Chi said with a nod. "And so will you, Gohan, alright...?"

"Uh huh...!" The saiyan boy nodded, his mouth clogged with rice.
