Want to get rid of the annoying adverts? The answer is simple. There are 4 levels of advertising on AnimeOTK:

Level 1: (Your Level, guests and members with 0-9 posts) has maximum advertising.
Level 2: (A user with 10 or more posts who has been a member over two weeks) have vastly reduced advertising (including removal of the large full screen closable adverts)
Level 3: (A member who has been registered over a month and has over 50 posts, or has a special account like "artist" or "writer" sees minimal advertising.
Level 4: (VIP Donators) receive no advertising.
All donators of $10 or more will never see an advert on our site again!

Hey, just adding a late few cents.

1. Ditto on build what makes you happy.

As long as you like making it, people will enjoy it. You aren't going to please everyone not should you. If it helps you make it better, keep it else ignore internet whining

2. Pick a platform that lets you do the most of what you enjoy.

For example, If you like writing the scenes, find a platform that minimizes the amount of coding you need to do. Nothing wrong with RPGMaker, but it's designed around the coding needs of JRPGS. If you are looking at more text based, stuff like Twine, Renpy, or Pollen might suit your fancy. AKA has stuff on his blog with Aspect system and using a compile into Twine editor.

3. Scenes make everything
Generally puzzles, bosses, etc. shouldn't be overly complicated or grind heavy because the payoff takes in inordinate amount of time to get to. It gets frustrating for the player. Tower of Trample is probably the best example of this.

You don't have this issue in Elven Paladin, so keep that spirit into your next project!

I appreciate all the feedback on what makes a good game. The most honest things I'm hearing is mostly not to have too much of a gap between spanking scenes. I personally do like a little work in between for a sense of accomplishment, but I should probably keep that to a minimum.

I'm learning a lot from the game suggestions too. Last Sovereign and Trample Tower are showing me things to do and not to do, so they are appreciated... but damn... Trample tower is pulling 5K a month? That's quit your job money. They must be doing more right than wrong. Heh.

I'm still weighing the idea of another game. Time Money And Motivation are the three major factors. Talking to everyone here really helps with the motivation. Money would depend on how much Overtime my job is offering. I guess that falls under time as well.

I appreciate everyone saying they would subscribe to a patreon. And I can't lie, with the price of commissions, I have thought about it. However, aside from the fact I've heard they are very unfriendly to spankos, I have no idea what I could possibly offer on a monthly basis to make people want to stay subscribed.

I have moved the game itself to itch.io, for the time being. It's still free of course, but if you want to throw in a small donation to help me rebuild the warchest I spent on the artwork, it would be greatly appreciated! I do hope though we can keep the conversation alive here on this thread. I have truly been enjoying it thoroughly!

BoWei and Koda get a righteous amount of hate (not wholly undeserved) with that $5K a month though. Fenoxo/Savin's model tends to be a bit better, but that money is split amongst a team.

Some of the folks who got ran out of Patreon ended up on SubscribeStar and Gumroad.

Hi guys, did enough playthroughs to unlock cheat for any ending and so on. But... still malding over how to get memories 10 and Danica's end - feels like I've tried all possible options, maybe not but I'm really running in circles. Same for memory 4 and respectively endings for Ruby, Sapphi. Would really appreciate your help

Hang tight guys. I'm going up with something people have been asking for and hopefully will be done soon. Just wanted to make some changes and maybe some new art from some awesome people. Then I'll put it out all at once

No rush, thanks for replying. Heads up for the amazing game. It was great enough for me to even post a comment while being consious that all those years back I just slammed randomly on keyboard to create a stupid nickname hahaha.
I also had some experience doing stuff on RPG Maker so I can relate that it's way more difficult than it actually seems at first.

All of those are locked behind one particular scene, which is easy to miss if you use a mouse or don’t use sprint.
 
On the first night sneak into the guildhall and get to the cellar without Jade catching you.
