Here’s my review of Pokémon ULTRA Spanko Version:

For the most part this is a truly excellent game, one that succeeds admirably both as a Pokemon fan game and as a spanking fetish fantasy. First of all, I need to emphasize just how good of a Pokemon EXPERIENCE this is: it’s a genuinely fun and satisfying adventure for a veteran Pokemon player to embark on, and I say this as someone who has been thoroughly disillusioned with the series during the Switch generation (with the exception of Legends Arceus, which I really do like).

This is a full, meaty Pokemon experience - streamlined for sure, what with the reduced numbers of NPCs and houses, as well as all the instantly accessible HM abilities, but this is no bad thing – when you’ve played a lot of Pokemon games, there are some things you get tired of doing over and over again, as well as some completionist traps you dread falling into, and so getting to bypass that process doesn’t really make me feel cheated in any way, it just means there’s more time to focus on what the game does really well: the Pokemon selection, the Gym battles and the spankings.

There’s obviously a HUGE selection of Pokemon available in this game from all 9 generations, which serves it very well, greatly increasing player choice and replay value. I’m not necessarily the biggest fan of the Starters available, which didn’t include any of my personal favorites either in Johto or Kanto, and the wild Pokemon encounter rate can be pretty obnoxious, but the gigantic Pokemon roster this game delivers more than makes up for such issues.

And whatever Pokemon you end up putting on your team will find themselves pushed to their absolute limits, because the Gym battles are really fun and challenging this time around! Restricting your ability to use items in-battle was an excellent change, and the Pokemon and movesets used by the Gym Leaders kept me on my toes. Sometimes I thought I was successfully wearing down an enemy Pokemon only for it to bust out a recovery move, sometimes Leaf was caught with her pants down by a powerful setup ‘mon that threatened to countersweep her team, and there were even some VERY smart uses of Zoroark and its Illusion ability that multiple times netted a KO. This higher level of difficulty also synergizes very well with all the quality of life features available in this game, which make it much easier to min-max your own Pokemon.

Of course, overcoming a capable Gym Leader after a hard-fought battle just makes it all the more gratifying to finally get the chance to spank her bare bottom – and it’s obviously here that the Spanking aspect of the game gets to shine. I played as Leaf and had her be a switch who only spanked girls, in order to maximize the amount of /F spankings I’d be able to witness. And to be sure, the mere fact that Leaf gets spanked if she loses a Gym battle does make for a nice consolation prize, as the sting in her butt ironically enough lessens the sting of defeat. It’s a shame there only seems to be two different set of Leaf spanking images, given all the different spanking scenarios she gets involved in, and while I enjoyed Leaf’s spankings and spanking art, they definitely weren’t the highlights of the game. For my next playthrough, I’ll definitely have my MC be a dominant male, because while I don’t really self-insert as my player character, it’s still way more embarrassing for the ladies I defeat in battle to find themselves being spanked on the bare by a boy.

But ah yes, the Gym Leader spankings…these are just so good! The AI spanking art is for the most part really nice, offering up some really appetizing asses and cute, teary-eyed faces. Uncensored pussies and buttholes are shown off matter-of-factly, not presented in an overly gratuitous or pornographic manner, and so don’t really clash with the relatively innocent tone of the game – while still helping make the spanking scenes even more arousing for the player. The spanking implement sound effects and female yelps and cries of pain further enhance the experience, and the asses of your victims end up suitably red and sore without it ever feeling excessively brutal.

Perhaps best of all however are your interactions with the Gym Leaders as you spank them – I love their little quips, feedback and sometimes even protests as their butts are being blistered, as these small bits of dialogue really help them come alive, and make the spanking sessions feel genuinely authentic – like you’re ACTUALLY getting the chance to spank all these beautiful girls you’ve become so familiar with throughout your life as a Pokemon fan, which is just so thrilling!

A number of the spanking scenes are amazing, SO hot and satisfying – Whitney, Phoebe, Misty and Nemona being some of the standouts. Some sessions really surprised me – Viola in X/Y was quite a forgettable Gym Leader, but her spanking scene in this game was so good that it singlehandedly made her a way more memorable, likable and desirable character in my eyes. And while I’ve always viewed Viola’s fellow Gen 6 girl Korrina as super cute and underrated, I really didn’t expect her to make it into this game (I thought we’d get Maylene as the Fighting type rep), so actually getting to spank her was a real delight.

There are however some disappointments – Skyla, Marnie and especially Jasmine get way shorter spanking sessions that I’d have liked (Skyla is my favorite Pokegirl, so I’d especially have loved more quality time with her bottom), and the Kanto Gym Leader spankings are generally second-rate compared to the Johto ones (Misty being the big exception). There’s definitely some missed potential here – someone like Iono has really great potential for a super fun spanking scene, where for example her spanking is livestreamed and the girl is torn between wanting her ass agony to end and her excitement about how many views and superchats she’s getting while the spanking is ongoing. And the Sabrina being a Team Rocket member subplot goes nowhere and serves as nothing but a neat Pokemon Adventures reference, with the Psychic type Gym Leader unfortunately never being adequately punished for her crimes, merely getting off with a pretty standard ass-whipping.

I do however greatly appreciate the Kanto Gym leaders being properly level scaled, unlike in the actual Gen 2 games (requiring 18 Gym badges to challenge the Elite 4 was a similarly inspired change), and while the Kanto section becomes more linear as a result, I for one appreciated the additional structure and focus this provided to the second half of the adventure.

The Elite 4 and Champion battles were good, but the lack of music playing during these climactic clashes was disappointing (though I personally ended up just having YouTube Pokemon battle songs play in the background while I took on the Elite 4 and Cynthia). While it’s a shame that Karen escaped with her butt unscathed, Cynthia’s paddling was certainly a great way to cap off the main adventure. The post-game was also quite neat – as I alluded to earlier, Nemona’s spanking scene is really great, and the Team Rocket sidestory was such a cool surprise, even if it is a shame that there was no Team Rocket Leaf spanking art that could be used for scenes like her initiation spanking and her parents’ reactions to their daughter’s bad life choices. The rewards for this questline are excellent, and the Rocket Grunt spanking scene is lovely, though this whole storyline definitely lacked a sense of closure – if you’d ended up either getting to spank Mars by end (a highly warranted payback spanking), or had spanked Zinnia after your big Pokemon battle, that would definitely have gone a long way.

Continuing on the topic of spanking, I really like how it’s handled in this game – again, the relatively innocent, non-sexual nature of the spankings fit the Pokemon universe very well, with even Sonia (who wants to be spanked as often as possible) only ever requesting her spankings so that she can focus better on her work. The horny couple sidequest kinda feels out of place as a result, clearly clashing with the rest of the game, but thankfully it’s a minor, optional sidequest. I also do like how spanking isn’t CONSTANTLY mentioned throughout the game, at least after the opening section, which was a bit excessive – Leaf being spanked right away by her father, before you’d even gotten to control her, felt a bit premature (a maintenance spanking after her rival battle, to ensure she behaves herself while away from home would have felt far more appropriate imo), and I also don’t agree with Nemona being spanked at the beginning of the game by Oak, after losing said rival battle; her ass having gone unspanked throughout the whole game would have made the Mt. Silver spanking that much more special. By contrast, a less spank-intensive opening could have been balanced out by a couple more spanking references from NPCs you battle throughout the adventures.

I GREATLY appreciate the ability to rematch Gym Leaders, both for the additional challenge and due to the way the Auto-Win Cheat essentially lets you rewatch their spanking scenes at will. However, there are some one-time spanking scenes (like Cynthia and Nemona) that can’t be rewatched in this way, so a convenient way to re-experience ANY of the spanking scenes you’d unlocked, similarly to what’s featured in a game like Kana Sensei, would have been extremely welcome. Thankfully, between the Gym Leaders, Sonia and Lillie, there are still plenty of freely available spanking scenes at the point in the game where I am now at.

Overall, this is easily one of my favorite spanking games ever, and as a Pokemon game I would EASILY rather be playing something like ULTRA Spanko Version over the likes of Sword/Shield – a few unpolished aspects and a couple of relative shortcomings are easily made up for by all the fun and challenging battles, and the wonderful spanking content. I can only congratulate you on a job well done stickthatbuttout, and I’m looking forward to future updates.

I appreciate the thorough review. I admit there are some scenes that I would like to flesh out a bit more but unfortunately I just sort of ran out of free time, so future updates will have to be more incremental. I fully agree that Iono definitely needs more development. The next update does include some updated dialogue for her. I also want to make some adjustments to Sabrina but she is a bit more complicated since depending on the gender preferences one chooses, it's entirely possible for her to never appear as a gym leader in game.

No, I won't be making an Android version. Some people have gotten it to work with JoiPlay but since I don't have an Android device, there's no way for me to test an Android version.
