Mirkwood visit (for NaughtyPirate)

Thranduil chuckled when his son was tackled. "They remind me of another certain pair of dark-haired, elflings twins I knew." The blonde king said, eyeing Elrond.

Thranduil sighed. "I do believe my Legolas requires a bath as well."


"What are we going to do while we're here Legolas?" Elladan asked.
"Yes! Mirkwood is always so exciting!" Elrohir added. Both twins not noticing they were getting their friend dirty with them.

"Let us hope they are not as troublesome as we were," Elrond said, smiling.

Legolas giggled, and sat up.
"I want to show you my favorite tree!" he said, excitedly.
"And the berries are becoming ripe in the meadow!"


"Before you go off romping," Elrond said, "I think a bath and a meal will not go unwelcome."

Thranduil laughed, "quite right."
Thranduil nodded in agreement with Elrond. "Yes, Legolas, you are in need of a bath too."

The twins smiled at Legolas' plans, being in Mirkwood will be so much fun! Their smiles faded when they heard that they would take a bath and they turned pleading eyes to their father.
"Nooooo Ada!" Elladan protested.
"We've only just arrived!" His brother added.
"And we are clean!"
"Very clean!"
"We want to play with Legolas. Please, Ada!"

"We are all dusty from our journey, little ones," Elrond told them.
"A bath will help, and after we eat, you three may play."

Legolas pouted, sending his ada a sulky look.
"I do not want a bath, Ada! I had a bath just this morning!" he exclaimed.

Elladan and Elrohir pouted, wanting to play now rather than later, but they also did not want to jeopardize their chances of playing with Legolas later.
"Alright, Ada.."
"But you must take one with us!" Elrohir exclaimed.
"Yes, you are as dusty as us!"


"Yes, my son, I know you took one this morning, but you need another." Thranduil brushed at Legolas' leggings, resulting in a small cloud of dust. "You want to be a presentable prince for dinner don't you?" Thranduil rose a brow, hoping his son would obey him.

"I shall bathe with you," Elrond said, reaching for their hands.
"We are all in need of it."


Legolas pouted at him.
"But I am not dirty, Ada,' he protested, trying to ignore the cloud of dust. He did a rather fine job until the dust made him sneeze, rather hard.

Elladan and Elrohir smiled and took their ada's hand, eager to hurry and get the bath over with so they could play with their dear friend.


Thranduil tried to keep a stern expression when Legolas protested, but couldn't help himself chuckling fondly when he sneezed. "Yes you are, Leafling." The king said as he took Legolas' hand. "We will escort you to your rooms, Elrond." Thranduil said and motioned for the servants to take the visitors luggage as he began walking to the grand palace.

Legolas whimpered, and pulled a bit at his hand.
"Ada, I want to play with the twins!" he protested, a pout entering his voice.



Elrond smiled at his sons, and followed the other elf.
"I thank you for allowing us to visit you," he said, as they walked.

"It is always a pleasure to have you visit, my friend."
Thranduil stopped walking when he felt the tug on his hand and swatted his son on the bottom. "Legolas, I said you need to take a bath and that you may play later." Thranduil rose a brow. "No more arguing, now come." He said and began to walk again.


The twins both winced when Legolas was swatted, but forgot about it when they entered the palace. Elladan clung closer to his ada, a little overwhelmed, while Elrohir stared with wide eyes, wanting to take in everything.

Legolas sniffled as he was swatted, blushing. he didn't like to be so scolded in front of his friends. He knew not to argue anymore, so he simply walked alongside his tall ada.

"I do not imagine we could keep these three apart," Elrond said with a small smile.

He held the twins by their hands, mindful of wonder.
He looked down at them.
"What do you think, little ones?"
