Knowing it would be a bad idea to underestimate the Jounins, Neji urged his companion to creep away from the camp and out of earshot as fast as possible.

In less than two minutes, thy were at the enemy camp. Hiding in the bushes, they planned their attack. The pale-eyed youth activated his Byakugan, "there's only five of them, I should be able to take out those two at the same time." He whispered. "How many can you handle?"

"Yare, Gai, what is it?" Listening to his kouhais scurrying away, he gave out a tired sigh. "Maa, I was hoping they would have cold feet and not go through with it, but I guess that's not their style." He turned towards his raven-haired comrade. "Should we go after them or wait for them to come back?"

Sasuke shut his eyes for a moment before also activating his crimson eyes, the Sharingan. "...two." he replied gesturing to the two nin. "If we take those four out at about the same time, we can gang up on the last enemy, I guess." he repleid in a low whisper. "Or, its's whoever finishes first."

"Hm.." Gai scatched his chin, getting lost in though. "Rival, it's be best to go after our boys. We don't know how strong they are, and if the two of them can handle them. If we wait for them to come back, they might not come back." he let out a small sigh. "I say we go; just for saftey precautions."

Moving swiftly like the genius Genins he was, Neji ran from the bush and used his momentum to push both Water-nins at the chest. A normal push might have not fazed the shinobi, but this was directed at the nodes near their internal organs. Both men coughed up blood and collapsed.

Using his Byakuugan as not to turn around, Neji saw that Sasuke was having similar success. They could be out of here!

Suddenly the fog around them materialized into the water shinobi he had just downed. "Foolish Genin...."

"Hai, Gai, let's go then." Muttering curses for not getting enough rest. Kakashi followed his rival out of his tent and towards where the enemy was located. When they were less than twenty meters close, he could hear fighting going on. "Chikuso."

Sasuke stepped back next to him, and had his kunai drawn with his Sharingan activated. "Shit..." he cursed somewhat, glaring at the shonobi around him. "I've got your back; I gues we just wing it now." Sasuke replied before swiftly throwing a kunai at the enemy.

Gai grunted a bit. "Rival.." he trailed off as they ran into the clearing where the two genin were located. "Dynamic Entry!" he yelled, before kicking two of the nin off of their feet, sending them flying into a tree.

Sasuke froze; when did Gai and Kakashi show up?! Had they followed them when they knew they weren't suposed to sneak out? So many thoughts were going through his head, as he saw both of the Jounin wipe out the ninja,

Neji admonished himself for not noticing his sensei and the other Jounin approach. HE was the one with the best vision of the two, but he'd been too distracted dodging the Water Shinobi to look behingd him. Rookie mistake.

As Kakashi and Gai made sure the enemy was not going to pull off more Genjutsu on them, Neji wondered what was going to happen to him and Sasuke.

The original plan had been so sneak out, finish the enemy and sneak back in. But they were obviously caught now.

Using his Sharingan to make sure the Genjutsu was over, Kakashi felled the last of the water Shinobi.

He then turned around and uncharacteristically huffed angrily at Sasuke. Usually he would let this slide from his students, but today he was tired from previous missions and staying up longer battling enemies unnecessarily made him cranky.

Grabbing Sasuke by the back of the neck of his shirt, he tried to think of an appropiate punishment for the young Uchiha. It would have to be something quick, because he was in no mood to stay up longer and lecture. He looked at Gai.

Sasuke squirmed a bit in his grip, and fell silent, a bit humiliated with himself. "K-Kakashi..." he started nervously, sensing anger in the air. "...we were just planning to get rid of the enemy, then sneak back to camp and retreat in for the night."

Gai let out a small sigh. "I'm disappointed, Neji." he shook his head, putting a strong grip on his genin's shoulder. "I know you won't like it, but such actions like this require punishment." his grip tightened a bit, and he gazed to Kakashi.

Neji wasn't sure he liked his sensei's tone of voice, or the way he gripped his shoulder. He frowned. He hardly ever was in trouble, why couldn't Gai just lecture him instead of giving out a punishment?

Thinking of how the loud man treated Lee, Neji hoped that Gai wouldn't punch him like the older man did sometimes to the young Taijutsu master. But sometimes when Lee REALLY messed up....

Neji swallowed and looked at his sensei. Gai wasn't planning to do THAT, was he?

Kakashi half-pushed, half-dragged Sasuke to the camp. He never let on that he had no idea that he didn't know what he would do to his student.

"I'm very dissapointed in you Sasuke. You've been training to be a ninja for quite some time now and it seem you STILL lack the ability to judge when the time is right to attack." He glared at his kouhai. "Shinobi DIE from timing their attacks wrong, you know that. It seems that you need to taught a lesson to remind you of this."

Kakashi wondered if his rival was giving a similar lecture to his own student.

"Neji, you could have gotten yourself killed! Killed!" he replied, as he also, dragged him back to camp. "You should think before you perform such foolish actions." he replied, as Neji sat next to Sasuke on a long log as both got scolded.

Sasuke growled a bit. "I don't need to be taught a lesson.." he protested.

"Kakashi.." the man in the green suit started, taking a deep breath. "Our dear genin could have gotten themselves killed. This requires dire consequences." he let out a deep sigh, and put his hands on his hips. "An old-fashioned spanking should cure their rebellious youth!"

"A spanking...Gai don't you think that's a bit..." Kakashi stopped himself before finishing the sentence.
Now that he thought about it, an over-the-knee butt-smacking was just the perfect thing. Sasuke may be a genius, but he was still a child and being over-confident could cost him dearly. A good licking would get his attention.

And besides it wouldn't take too long. If Minato had taught him anything on spankings, it was that they didn't have to be long to have a lasting effect. "Actually, Gai, I agree with you."

Neji tried not to go pale from his sensei's decree. Gai methodically spanked his students whenever they really crossed the line, but so far Neji had avoided being on the recieving end.

But he knew from watching his cell-mate Lee that once the Taijutsu master had his mind set on it, he couldn't be talked out.

He watched his sensei seat himself on the log and grasp him by the shoulders. Trying to keep his cool and arrogant airs, he silently hoped it wouldn't be on the bare.

"Now, wait, Kakashi..." Sasuke trialed off, and looked around for an escape route. He'd seen the blonde of a team mate get his ass beat often, but never him. He was an Uchiha! He took a small gulp as he saw Kakashi sit on the other side of the log.

Gai grunted a bit, before planting a firm foot in the groud. He took the Hyuuga's wrist, and hulled him over his knee, and began to position him. "Hm.." he thought for a moment, before starting to rub the genin's round rear; then slowly, he pulled down his pants. "Neji, you know that a true spanking is done on the bare."
