Bruce smiled back at Jason, he didn't mind him being clingy because he thought it was cute and it reminded him of when Jason was little. He got out the bread and cheese and toasted the sandwiches to make his kid some grilled cheese like he wanted. He then got out the tin of tomato soup, used the can opener and then heated up the contents in the microwave. Once everything was ready, he put the grilled cheese on a plate and the soup in a bowl with a spoon, "Here kiddo." he smiled, setting his lunch down on the table.

Dick arrived back in the kitchen just when Bruce finished making Jason’s lunch. Aw, Jay was being cuddly. That told the older boy Jason got his butt beat soundly. “Hey Red.” Dick smiled running fingers through Jason’s crimson locks. He liked his little brother’s red hair, of course Dick was fond of gingers. “Gonna keep the color this time.” he asked pleasantly avoiding the topic of what Bruce had ‘discussed’ with the teenager.

Picking up a slice of sandwich Jason bit into it as though he hadn’t had food in years. He did love this stuff. The sandwich did a good job of covering the soap taste in his mouth. When Dick showed up and started being his lovey dovey self Jason just let him. Usually Dick’s sudo-molestation in the name of brotherly love would get the first Robin pushed away and sworn at but Jason was feeling a little weak at the moment. Dick is his big brother. Once upon a time Jason hung off Dick eager to soak up all the knowledge the older boy had and all the love Dick was willing to give.

“That bad huh?” the twenty-one year old asked looking up at Bruce with his customary grin. There was no way Dick could ever condemn their father for punishing one of them. Bruce is a good man and he will fight with his life to keep both Dick and Jason on the right path.

Bruce smiled when Dick came back into the kitchen and then he started teasing Jason a little bit, it wasn't malicious or anything, it was just light hearted brotherly teasing and Bruce didn't mind that between his boys. He rose a brow when Dick asked him if it had been that bad. "It was earned." was all the millionaire replied with and sat down with a cup of coffee, "So Dick, are you staying over the weekend again?" he asked, looking to his eldest.

Nodding Dick understood Jason deserved every bit of whatever he got. It just broke Dick’s heart a little knowing his little brother had done something to warrant a severe punishment. Watching Jason eat while standing Dick couldn’t help to wrap his arm around the boy’s waist and hug the not so little Jay to him. Hearing Bruce’s question Dick thought on it but decided he was definitely staying home. “Yeah, family time sounds good.” he smiled. That smile widened when Jason rested his head on Dick’s shoulder. Nudging his hip into Jason’s Dick looked down at the sandwich and soup. “Better finish that Red, Bruce doesn’t make meals often. That’s something special you’ve got there.”

Bruce was glad that Dick was such a good big brother to Jason, he needed that sort of comfort right now. He snorted when Dick said he didn't make meals often, "Only cause you complain about my cooking, and besides Alfred makes great food." he explained and then sat down to watch the boys, smiling fondly as he took a sip of hot, steamy coffee. "I'm glad you're staying over Dick, I was thinking we could all do something tomorrow, just me and my boys." he suggested.

A laugh broke from the older boy at Bruce’s returning jest. “Got that right.” Dick replied, but everyone knew he was a fan of Alfred’s food. A good natured groan left Jason when the teenager finally pushed Dick away from their cuddle, “you’re both idiots.” Jason laughed a bit stabler than he had felt half the sandwich ago. With Jason coming around Dick went over to get himself something to drink before joining Bruce at the table. Sitting across from the man Dick would gladly call his father the twenty-one year old grinned, “so whatcha got in mind?” he asked genuinely curious about what Bruce was thinking of for something just him and the boys.
