I do love the reaction of the little girl and the open palm of her mother.
Sometimes the fingers are splayed and curled a bit, so it doesn't look like their hand is really giving a good spanking. It truly looks like she is giving her daughter a very sound spanking.
Terrific drawing--it's obvious that the little girl is getting it good, bare-hand-to-bare-bottom (the most intimate type of spanking), across her reluctant but determined mother's lap.
I could see this coming in the past few drawings--the woman was sympathetic to her daughter, yet she also considered the girl partially to blame for her fight with the bullying boy.
(I don't necessarily think that way myself. I'd take her out for ice cream if she were my daughter, then tell her that she was right to resist being victimized--but this mother obviously thinks differently.)

the girl was probably given the choice of either getting spanked on the panties by her father or bare bottom by her mom. considering shes not tearing up yet, she made the right choice. or because she didnt learn her lesson the first time, she had to get it stricter. dont worry little girl, a few more smacks and you'll get a very warm hug
To MR AZ: The lesson is that she should have been the "better person". In other words, she shouldn't have kicked him the way she did. She should have told someone, like his mother, and let them deal with it.
To have the patience of a monk? Children are cruel, most probable outcome was that either she did that or he would have kept doing the same for the days to come. No, I think you're misunderstanding the point here, Mr Az. This has nothing to do with monks and their patience, it's about doing the right thing.
Don't forget this girl was spanked before for the EXACT same thing. Being the better person is a difficult skill to master but it's very important and overall satisfying.

To crash-bash : She was punished for something else entirely, in the other comic she reacted without a warning and hurt a partner of hers, here she waited until she was, again, eating dirt and with someone pretty much being happy to shame her.
It begun like that and the child, a 5-6 years old, had more patience than many would have. Let's remember this: The father taught her martial arts, or so it seems and acts like a judge to see if it's ok when she uses them, but he's doing something wrong there, instead of being at his child's side when she was right to defend herself he tries to teach her to have more patience than he has, what does he want? A crybaby that runs to him whenever something happens? What about when he isn't there? And if he wants that why the hell did he teach her that, then?
And the mother, what is she teaching to her? "Oh, I better let others hit me and break my things and shame me in front of the entire park or else my parents will hit me". And if the mother was so EAGER to punish her kid that she did not think things through, where's her good example of being patient?
Mr Az, none of what you're saying is making any sense. You are overthinking things way too much and overassuming everything. EVERYTHING. I've given up trying to explain to you because, frankly, I don't even understand what you're saying anymore.
The only thing I understand about what you're saying is the claim "If the mother was so EAGER to punish her kid that she did not think things through", and even THAT'S wrong. If she was so "EAGER", she would have punished him when the boy was spanked by his mother.
Crash Bash, I don't need you explaining the comic to me. I'm stating my view on things based on what I've seen on the comic(s). The "what's the lesson?" was not a question directed to you nor an open question given how I immediately put the answer to it. You took into answering me with your own point of view on the matter so I replied in kind.
And yes, the mother was, seemly, eager to punish her little girl, given how she's thinking all things through until now (next panel).
I'm not criticizing the comic, nor the artist, not even the comments, the comic is good, the artist has great talent, the comments are in subject, I'm just stating what I think of the characters' attitude.
MR AZ is, of course, right, but I think, since he's technically right, he kinds missed the point: we are on spanking detish site, non on children edycation site. Though I don't think that spanking was reasonable in any sence, I also doubt that it should be a problem dor fictional story based on interest to spanking. We've saw much more unjust and cruel spankings, hadn't we?
OK Mr Az, it turns out we were BOTH wrong. The girl isn't being punished for her fighting with the boy, and the mother's actions for spanking her was not "unfair"....what she did was dangerous, unintentional as it was.
A really good picture. Lots of energy in the pose - in the raised arm and the kicking legs. I like the multiple palms on the outside, indicating that this goes on for a while.
