Want to get rid of the annoying adverts? The answer is simple. There are 4 levels of advertising on AnimeOTK:
Level 1: (Your Level, guests and members with 0-9 posts) has maximum advertising. Level 2: (A user with 10 or more posts who has been a member over two weeks) have vastly reduced advertising (including removal of the large full screen closable adverts) Level 3: (A member who has been registered over a month and has over 50 posts, or has a special account like "artist" or "writer" sees minimal advertising. Level 4: (VIP Donators) receive no advertising.
All donators of $10 or more will never see an advert on our site again!
Today the parliament in my home of Germany decided to legalise gay marriages with equal rights to hetero partnerships.
All left and left-of-center parties and even about a third of the conservatives were in favour.
Finally both hetero- and homosexual marriages will have the same status and rights, instead of the more restrictive civil partnerships that were the only real option for gay couples previously.
It was about time, I think.
Hopefully the implementation of the new law will proceed as smoothly.
I am very much in favour of equal rights and diversity, which will probably not surprise you.
So to celebrate I decided to make a quick drawing.
I'm a gay German and I can't tell how happy this makes me =D I didn't know about this whole thing going on since I've been living in Japan for a year now, but ALL my friends wrote me mails and texts!!

It's always been a source of amusement for the UK where we've had equality of marriage for a while already - and civil partnerships for many years before that - that we have hosted a lot of Consular marriages.
In countries in the far east, south america or the Caribbean, same-sex couples (especially those that can demonstrate ties to the commonwealth) can get married in the UK embassies, consular offices or high-commission buildings in their country and the host nation are largely required to accept it in Law as valid, even if that couple sadly continued to face discrimination.
Doesn't work in the US of course.
Saying that... while in the UK it was our conservative party that got the full equality passed, unlike the USA, our conservatives are sane.
