As to whether it's legal or not... No, it's NOT legal in many U.S. states. What IS legal is for an 18 year old to go after a 16 year old and have sex etc. In some states, it's one year difference, it most it's two years. As far as getting married, that depends on her parents and the state. In most states a woman may declare herself emancipated from her parents at 16, to get married to an older man, but her parents have to give their okay. They are still responsible for her until 18 (21 for boys in most states).
In my state, possessing any depiction of a minor in any form of nudity, regardess if it's drawn or pictures, and you're going to jail for 10-20 years. You'll be listed as a sex offender, which is available public information for life, which means good luck getting a job after you get out of jail. In the US, you can go down to 12 years old in some states, and as long as the two people are within one or two years of each other, it's not considered statutory rape. Her parents can still sue him and his parents (or vice versa if she's older) but it's a civil case and not a state law that's been broken.
Anything crossing state lines is where federal law applies, but local laws override state and federal law in regards to possession of anything "lude" and regarding depictions of minors.
