Janet sighed, resting her left cheek upon her knuckles as she waited for the green arrow to appear upon the traffic light. The searing sunlight lancing through the slightly dirty windshield and the little sedan's air conditioner cranked to as cold it could go gave the distinct vibe of summertime. Finally, the arrow came, and the dark-haired woman rotated the steering wheel several times, pulling onto the side street before quickly making a right into the train station's back parking lot. Today was the day her daughter, Jennifer, or, as she was more often know, Jenny returned from college. While the girl was occasionally a handful, Janet had missed having another person around the house. Not to mention, having an extra set of hands would make the weekly chores easier.

The widow pulled into a parking space, and stepped out of the vehicle. Despite being 41, she looked quite decent for her age. Of course, time hadn't been completely to her. Her skin showed the characteristic looseness of age in certain places, and the areas around her hips and thighs had become just a little bit chubby from her inability to exercise as much as she used to, but, in overall, she was healthy, and looked it. She remained on the hot black top only for a moment, entering the air-conditioned interior of the train station and seating herself upon one of the polished wooden benches inside, and waited for her daughter's train to arrive. Any minute now...

Jenny got out of her seat and moved towards the door as the train stopped. Having been at college she had gotten use to doing what she wanted and she was certain she would do the same at home. She strongly favored her mother in looks though she was a bit shorter. She was wearing a decent top but a skirt that came well above her thigh.

As she got off the train she started to look for her mom

Janet wasn't entirely thrilled with her daughter's choice of clothing when she saw her, but she was too glad about having her back for that fact too concern her too much. She stood from the bench and wrapped her arms around the young woman. After eighteen years of raising the girl by herself, she was somewhat glad to see her go off to college. It had given Janet some time to be by herself, as well as start dating again, something she had been holding off on, since she didn't want Jenny to have a second negative father figure. Still, even though that private life was going to be put on hold temporarily, Janet was glad to have her baby back.

"I've missed you, sweetie," the mother said, squeezing her daughter tightly. She released the girl from the embrace and took a step back, still holding onto her arm, looking her over. "Look at you... Already back from your first year of college. When did you get so old?"
