True tears of the kingdom [For Terra]

There was a silence, if only for a minute as Link sat on his knees in the fields of hyrule, near the castle. He had finished taking down the threat that was calamity Ganon, and finally found peace of mind, even if everything had changed. The loss of his friends and his years of slumber was a lot for link to take on, but he was helped as much as people could through his journey. Zelda had left him to watch over everything while she worked to restore the kingdom to its natural glory, and so Link made it his goal to retain the peace in the kingdom, having the spirits of his friends by his side to help him.

“It’s good to relax, when you can.” The memory of Urbosa spoke to him, as if remembering her in the moment. Link had taken on an apprentice of sorts in this time, and he had to constantly remind himself to relax if only for a moment when his student was around, he didn’t want to be overbearing to the boy but link was always nervous that things could go south. That moment made him realize though… where was his student? Standing up, the memory of urbosa faded and he started looking around for any sign. “Hey! Where are you kid?” He called out, hoping he wasn’t messing with the Lynel, or worse, a guardian, but some days kids will be kids and he was always ready for the worst. He began looking for him.

[Terra]

Taki jumped back as a Guardian blasted at him, his hands glowing as he fired bolts of magic at it. It did manage to take a few legs off the spider-like automaton, but he was also a sitting duck in midair as he still wasn’t good at mid-air dodging. As he looked, a laser blast from the guardian hit him dead on, knocking him through a tree. Fortunately, he has formed a small shield that mitigated the damage, but he was still quite hurt from it. The boy was a prodigy at various magic, some of it even unheard of in Hyrule, but he wasn’t in the greatest of fighting shape when it came to physical combat. As he groaned in pain, he saw the Guardian’s laser on his chest as it was about to fire again.

[Sinclair]

Link had made his way towards the other side of the castle where he suspected the boy would be, and heard the familiar beeping of the guardian as he developed a look of no nonsense and began making way for the location, sword at the ready to take down the guardian of the boy was struggling

[Terra]

Taki panted, noticing the Guardian turning its attention elsewhere. Panting, he stood up and started to heal the wound in his stomach. He groaned, taking a breath and watching it closely. He was about to cast another spell, but he had a feeling of dread starting to show.

[Sinclair]

Link quickly charged up and took out his shield, and rammed right into the mechanical beast as a means to topple it seeing as Taki had destroyed a few of the legs. “What’re you doing, taki?” He called over to the boy as he managed to disable the creature for the time being and turn his attention to the boy

[Terra]

“Currently? Healing myself..” Taki said with a sharp exhale. He wasn’t intending to sound like a smartass, he was asked a question, so he answered it. The young boy wasn’t too great at noticing how his responses could seem curt, but that was never his intention. He fully stood up, now realizing how much energy he had used up.

[Sinclair]

Link had grown to somewhat grasp the boys responses some, and didn’t take it too much offense as he watched him heal before putting his sword and shield back where they belonged and walked over. “How much damage did it do this time?” He asked as he looked the boy over to make sure he didn’t have any real harm to his person, before he’d act on the next part

[Terra]

“Ugh. Pretty bad bruising and a burn. The bruise is gone, but the burn will be there a while..” he said quietly, moving his shirt to reveal the burn mark from the laser blast. His arms were scratched up and splintered from the tree, but he hadn’t noticed.

[Sinclair]

“Well, your arms definitely got some damage done too, goodness.” He looked him over, but seeing it was nothing that would hurt him for long, he was relieved. “That being said now I won’t feel bad for this.” He immediately smacked the boy across the butt firmly once. “What did I tell you about fighting the guardians?!” Link went from worried to stern at the drop of a dime

[Terra]

Taki blinked and yelped as the seat of his pants were smacked. Closing an eye, he rubbed the spot with a wince. “Ow! It came at me first!” He replied, looking away briefly.
