Is there a way to progress the story without getting spanked during initiation?
The scene guide says optional, but I can't seem to find any way around it.

There's a bug in the first town. I think it's new? And I think I know the cause, sort of.

Viridia wants you to spank her with a handmedown switch.
But if you have something else that's suitable, you can use that instead.
If not, the second option is locked.
This, I think, triggers a state where the second option of all future choices becomes locked.
It's not a problem before this encounter, only after. And I don't see how to make it stop.

@canth: I'm pretty stumped on the issue you're experiencing. I tried with a fresh deployment of the game and haven't encountered the same problem. By default there is no save folder, however as soon as I adjust the volume a save folder is created and I continue with no issue. I've also been able to save the game immediately on gaining control of the character after the intro. What it sounds like to me is that for whatever reason the settings you're using to run the file isn't giving it the permission to create a save folder and write files. Could you try running it as an admin and see if that works?

@wildfire: I think I forgot to implement the optional part of it after deciding to make it optional, it'll be fixed in the next version which I'll upload either tonight or tomorrow (assuming no other undiscovered bugs get mentioned).

@specificinterests: Thanks for the catch there, turns out I had a typo in a plugin command. It should be fixed if you engage in another scene where you need to select an implement. It will also be fixed in the next version.

Here are another couple of dumb questions:

1. Was I supposed to download any specific version of RPG maker or anything like that first?

2. The game application file called "Game" I have been using was in the SpankQuestIIRE folder that was created when I unzipped the file. It is dated 9/4/2017. In the 'www' folder, there is another game application called "Game" file dated 1/16/2021 that I cannot get to really do anything - it opens a window but just stalls/freezes on a window with no data just a white backgroun. Is that correct?

@2017456058: Just download the new version. The crystal at the start of the game will skip past the first town.

@bartexgaming: Grab the diary in Camemy's room in the temple. Can only be done after the story progresses far enough that she falls asleep.

@CreepersSomewhereHere: Thanks much. I could be better, but I enjoy game making so I'll try to keep it up for a bit longer to release some more content. I'm eager to make new stuff too.

@Canth: There shouldn't be anything extra you need aside from the download. All the core files should be included. I haven't heard of an issue like yours with this update, so I don't think it's an issue with the download. The one dated in 2017 is indeed the .exe you should be running, I don't know why it's that date in particular. Have you tried manually creating a "save" folder in the "www" folder ahead of time to see if it changes anything?

@sethron: I think I fixed a bug w/ the new clothing that causes it to not register its stored ID. I believe this fixes it.
