Bit of a technical mess. Put bluntly, its a mess.

The stuff serves to distract the eye and drag it away from the characters - which is supposed to be the center of the piece - and it just breaks the perspective and viewpoint totally since none of these additions fit into it right. The flying saucers are at the wrong angle the present is totally out of perspective (and why? While we're at it, why not add a herd of wild turkducken majestically dancing with dolphins and a sad Keanu perched forlornly at the other end of the bed). The contrast between original and added just doesn't work. Colouring isn't bad and works nicely on its own but it in a way it serves to highlight a few incompletenesses - such as the characters eyes being quite blank.
Keep at it!

LMAO! dude! Its a hobby! And the reason it's a present not [a herd of wild turkducken majestically dancing with dolphins and a sad Keanu perched forlornly at the other end of the bed] is because I wanted it that way!

I'm afraid I don't get the present being there either. For some reason, it's presence in the pic makes me feel sad.

The rest of the pic is decent though.

I am pleased too!Iit has not to be a Van Gogh or Rembrandt. It is your pic and it is good enough for me. Who can do it better - should do it!

lol @ sad Keanu.

I think your main problem is the mixed media. Computer art mixed with pen and pencil usually looks rather odd. Next time, trying going it at it all in one medium - on paper, preferably, since digital can be tricky. Then, if you REALLY need to play around with the computer, you can use clone brush to fix any mistakes. Clone brush is legit. Straight digital coloring on top of pen is hard to pull off.

BTW, the sketch (before coloring) was pretty good.

I like it, the position of the characters is good and you really get a sense of movement with the boy's legs kicking, and I like how his arm is being twisted to he can't protect his butt.
